Everyone know the F-14 sucks at flaring missiles. You have to cut power to like 50% and wait 3 sec for the temperature to drop and do maneuvers while flaring to maybe have a chance of surviving. Even in headon.
Whats strange about that is that other planes such as F-15, Su-27/30s and F-16 have the around same or even higher engine temperature, and in most cases i mentioned, they have two engines like the F14. What explains the insane difference in flaring?
Is that a nerf gaijin did on purpose back in the time? A bug that they dont care about? This plane feels like a completely piece of crap RN, and probably its the worst vehicle in game (BR wise). I wish i could at least reliable flare missiles.

You have to actually use your brain to flare a missile off holy hell you might be the smartest player
Serious note I haven’t noticed any difference but I mainly die to a missile I failed to notch

Ok, but whats the balance about only one plane having to “use the brain” to flare missiles? You talk like the problem doesnt exist. Whats the point of your comment? Do you even played the plane in the current meta?
Realistically a lot of planes suffer from this I’m not gonna pretend like it shouldn’t happen to others but I’m also not gonna care about one vehicle getting changed unless other vehicles like the harrier as an example also get changed.
Also yeah I do F14 IRIAF all the way baby, sick ass desert camo, F14A is also nice but not really my thing Aim7F is too short range compared to the Sadjeel
Another thing that doesn’t help the F-14 is having flares ejecting between the 2 engines, while they are in different postal codes

I did not said only the F-14 should change, its just a post about this specific plane.
The IRIAF F14 is miles better than any other, and going close combat with it is not needed. Fakour is insane.
Fakour is very crazy but since I’m up so high I also use Sadjeels for long range SARH kills
I think this is the cause of most issues related to hard to flare missiles. The F-14, Kfir, Su-25s, Harriers, and F-111s all have poorly placed countermeasures that end up leading missiles right into the engines, rather than away.
Weakened? Hmm, I feel like it’s always been like this. When flying this thing, you have to keep laying down flares regularly, and when a missile comes in, you have to spam the flare release button—I think this has always been the kind of aircraft it was…
Those good old days… when the AIM-9M and R-73 were added and everyone was freaking out…
