ok but you’d have to downtier every single f104 in game besides a/c to do so, because the f104s is a direct upgrade to existing 104s at 10.7-11.0

I wouldn’t really mind.
I mean if you look at them all, it’s not that they have a weapon or a feature that the other planes don’t have.
In general we need decompression, but even if they go down it’s not that they will make the situation worse than it already is.
You should, that’s called BR compression.

Others voted no because i said it should go max BR 15.0 , they said 14,3 will be fine…or leave it as is.

I agree that the S model (not ASA) should go below 11.0, that’s just moving compression because it would be OP in a down tier.

Bail out of 11.7 if you are in a terrible aircraft for the meta! The MIG23ML/MLA/MLD is extremely strong at 11.7. It can out run, out climb, out dive and out accel every single thing it faces except for basically full uptiers (12.7) and than its on PAR with its 1470+kph straight speed without even having to dive. It can also out turn most things both at high AOA and 2+ circle. The next thing that is as fast is a Mirage2k that doesn’t even come with a gun at 12.3 and no SARH.
There is a reason every single bot account is using the ML to farm for selling. It can base bomb better than any other jet in the game and still have 2 auto kills with r24r.
Meanwhile the F4S having access to 6 AIM 7Fs, while maintaining up to three napalms, and multiple thousand pounders, while also being faster than most people at its BR.
Ok. You are 12.0 and are opened up to the 13.0 blackhole + Fox3. Run like 1290kph vs 1470kph and have to decide gun or not (marginal top speed increase). Turn worse. Accel worse. Climb worse. Less CMS. Worse CM.

Brah the Mig23MLD used to be 11.0 / 11.3 when that was max. It has literally never not been in the dominating cluster. It should be the one getting the pain BR bump like F4S according to your logic.
Maybe a window when there was 12.0 Mig29/F16 and F14A but it wasn’t actually getting that dommed by F16’s especially in the first F16 revision, mind you the MLD was even better back than as the FM was even more bogus in its ER (only fixed last year or so before ML sales iirc)

I love the F-104, they’re iconic and literally my favourite jet in the real world. Gaijin just likes to screw it over and everybody lets it happen because they only remember the feeling of F-104As railing their BR bracket. It’s minor nation syndrome for all the advanced starfighters. Same reason the Tornafo IDS is overtiered and especially the Sagittario 2, a 1950s subsonic that is even gapped by the Harrier GR1. It has a whopping two cannons and a very weak engine, zero missiles and zero flares while it faces Mig-21 MFs with R-60s and radar missiles, Drakens, aforementioned Harriers with SRAAMS, etc… but again, most players only remember the old 8.0 saggittario that was OP and since nobody cares about Italy it just gets overlooked as it’s slowly crept up to a ridiculous BR where you can catch literally nothing and can only outmanoeuvre an aim 9B, anything more agile or at close enough range and you’re literally defenceless. Same BR as the insanely fast and excellent F-104A. But US mains will cry that they never get the best version of a vehicle💀
Don’t trap yourself with bad arguments within 2 seconds and you wouldn’t have to give up like this.
F104’s had a decent period at one point where the German 104G was 10.3 and Italian 104S 10.7 or something, the other nation 104J/G or whatever with no flares / 2 missiles were also 10.3 lol., it’s like Gaijin weren’t even paying attention for 6 months.
