Here’s my multi-part solution for the 1.5 - 2 year old Top Tier Air Arcade mica spawn camp meta, feel free to incorporate any portion or all of it.
Disclaimer: The goal of this post is to get engagement on this topic and possibly make it into the accepted suggestions for consideration by Gaijin for future feature implementation. This post is coming from the perspective of a TTAA player that dislikes playing with and against spawn campers. Not a place of complaining about the game. And anyone who reads this should be made aware that room for abuse of this possible feature exists so measures should be taken so Anti-Spawn-Camper protection abusers aren’t created. Whether that be disabling weapons at spawn for a couple seconds or forcing fresh spawns out of the protection zones. And there will be tons of non-sensical “skill-issue” related contradictory replies to this post, just assume that those people spawn camp daily, and are costing gaijin $$$ on backup sales.
Increase spawn separation minimum to 30 kilometers. Dynamic altitude spawn points, aircrafts spawn in 2x higher altitude than the nearest opponent within 15 kilometers as a passive spawn protection feature. Increase the air speed of freshly spawning aircraft. (there is no wing rip in arcade) Airfield SPAA intercepts 9/10 incoming missiles within 5 kilometers radius of spawns with no height limit. If an enemy loiters around spawn for 1 minute they get destroyed by a naval mounted rail cannon or laser weapon instantly vaporizing them. Anti-spawn-camp message for spawn-camper (WARNING YOU HAVE ENTERED A NO FLY ZONE! YOU HAVE 60 SECONDS TO EXIT THE DEMILITARIZED ZONE OR YOU WILL BE DESTROYED!) 60… 59… 58… etc…
And just as a little note for Gaijins that read this. TTAA spawn campers are costing you $$$ daily. People won’t spend/buy backups when they know there isn’t a point to using them. And they drive off players that aren’t willing to stick around and feed opponents k/d. Resulting in a lower engagement metric with Air Arcade.
Upvote if you’d like to see a better win condition for your Air Arcade matches other than "one rafael got the high ground and killed 20 of your teammates with un-counterable strategies. And if anyone has a legitimate counter to getting spawn camped by 2+ rafaels that goes beyond theory, please upload it to youtube and post it here, I would love to see the practical application of said strategy.
P.S. what’s the harm in throwing a naval destroyer with laser weaponry into the dev server that insta-kills anyone spawn camping and seeing how it’s received?
