You pay 70 buckaroos for it though. The issue, at least for me isn’t really the AI itself. It’s Gaijin thoughts behind it.
The F14D is basically a reskinned F14B with a better radar and a couple more bombs. All of the Senrai BS is just the same tank as the premium for that tech tree, sold at 70$ again. The skins, given that they are most likely AI generated, are maybe a days work.
Most tech trees aren’t getting domestic vehicles as gap fillers. France’s premium is a Leopard. The British are getting Abrams that they don’t really need if Gaijin would just buff the Challies and not make their mobility akin to a 200 ton mining excavator. 2/3s of the tech trees have OSAs and Strelas. It’s just lazy.
No its much more likely that a human artist found the picture of the Challenger explosion and didnt know what it was before they traced it for the art. AI isnt known to trace exactly
Given the challenger 2 model is still using the ai generated artwork with the logo edited out, the game technically needs the generative ai flag on its steam storefront.
To avoid this, will the tank be reworked to contain no ai textures?
AFAIK Gemini requires users to be transparent that any content made is AI otherwise you are breaking the Gemini ToS; and Steam requires you to be transparent and open when you use AI as well, otherwise your game can be delisted.
Breaking both of these rules is a huge double whoopsie.
The real question is, do Gaijin use AI for coding the game? We have always talked about spaghetti code but are they now using AI to write code and make balance changes to the game?
Art is a really hard one because even PS have AI tools now and it is becoming far more mainstream. I would also say the British Senrai is a product of AI…
I wore it in the late 70’s and early 80’s when my instructors had Vietnam campaign ribbons, so by all means use a couple of examples of famous ANZAC informality to call me a liar.
The great thing about being Australian is we have documented just about everything relevant to our combat record. I would suggest your peruse the Australian war memorial’s site to refresh your knowledge. This “informality” is the uniform of that conflict.
