Lmfao, the first two were quite convincing, but as soon as I saw this one

considering the reason why we havent bought more of the MT was because of cost (60% of the cost was on the turret if i recall), it should be considerably cheaper to use only the Harimau hull.
Would be the most ideal option for them to be the backbone APC/IFV of the Army. No brainer really considering they’re also planning on adding weapon stations on the APC

Details of the Retrofitted Scorpion 90, it seems to be a part of the same package by Respati, but they were mounted separately? Maybe its a compilation of the upgrades, rather than one single upgrade program
the changes seems to include:
Source: Redirecting...
It could be that the thermals mounted on the barrel is only the prototype, and the one fitted ontop of the turret is a more modern version
EDIT: Found the Original HQ video version

so yeah they’re the same project, unknown exactly which is the earlier version, considering the image above has exposed wiring i presume its the early, whereas the one with only the vision port mounted one seems to be better put together
From what I gather the Scorpion 90 came with Gen 2 thermals, but they where prone to vibration issues and blurring, so mounting to the gun might have been a low cost/risk testing programme?
original system appears to be this
might be wrong but the original appears to be related this Avimo unit. Which does have thermals and explicitly mentions the Scorpion 90 and is stated to be in service!
All from this:
Excalibur Army Secures a Record Export Contract for Patriot Vehicles | Military vehicles & equipment
Keris mentions that the “unnamed country” is us. apparently the one responsible for this deal is the same one currently in charge of the Rabdan IFV acquisition for the marine corps
one variant mentioned being brought in is the IFV variant. This one is armed with a 20mm modular RCWS, if it has the atgm module it could very well be a decent option, but its still a long ways away (2029)
It seems that another Recoilless Rifle was also used for the GAZ-69, namely the Soviet B-11 107mm Recoilless

The B-11 has that distinctive circular “hook” above the barrel’s end. Notably lacking on the American M40 Recoilless

What’s interesting is that from the first images that hook is missing, so it could be that the B-11 was the original recoilless rifle mounted, then when the troops were sent for the UN mission, they were switched out to the M40 for some reason
Dates of the two variant:
GAZ-69 w/ M40 (US) = 17th Sept 1960
Gaz-69 w/ B-11 (SU) = 1959-1985
the M40 is easy since we have the date of when the photograph took place. The B-11 is a bit more difficult. It says in the photo that its a part of the Infantry Brigade’s Regional Military Command VI/Siliwangi. That name only exists between the year mentioned above, as nowadays it has been changed from VI (6) to III (3)
EDIT:
Signing of a cooperation agreement for the development of 70mm Guided Missile system
though its only a towed system as things stand, PT SAS seems to want to mount it on a truckbed chassis which could function as an Anti-ground or Anti-air
UPDATE (20/02/2026)
Update V15
- Separated the GAZ-69 recoilless into two vehicles, one with a US-made M40 & another with Soviet B-11
- Separated the Trialed Vehicles into their own section to match the Expanded Air List
- Re-arranged the position of some vehicles on Rank VI

Anoa PK20 Suggestion up!
You wouldn’t happen to have found anything else about the stab have you? Been looking for a while but have come up with nought that provides a source. So would appreciate it if you could pass anything you’ve found along
i dont recall any changes to the stab, the thing they changed seems to be in regards to the traversal mechanism (from motor to an added manual)
Hmmm
I just can’t find anything about the stab at all, just mentions in random mildly unreliable blogs.
it seems only the sight were stabilized?
but again not sure, from the footage you can clearly see the gun fixed while the hull rotate, dont think you can do it to that extent without a stab
The video was for the prototype, this one is for the standard in service one
from this part the center tank doesnt look as stable as compared to the left/right, so not 100% sure its a 2-axis stab or not
if it’s a part of the sight then maybe these images can help pinpoint what type it is
Commander sight

gunner’s

The Traverse drives are pretty fast (22.5 degrees a second), They are Marconi PD700 units. But yeah it’s a lot a little things that suggest a stab, but nothing that outright states there’s a stab. Was hoping there might be something in Indonesian or something ;-;
The sights are Avimo NVL3001s. Just a LRF is included.

Pretty sure it uses the Marconi [S/E]FCS600 if it has a full FCS, but I haven’t found anything to say the TNI actually went for that option, can’t see any of the sensors for example.

yeah I could not find anything
I’ve looked deep too. There’s a full research paper for the freaking shock absorber & roadwheels but nothing for a stabilizer
It’s disappointing tbh (the lack of info that is, not your efforts), at least the gun elevation is pretty speedy, so shouldn’t be too bad in game

Current suggestions in pending, will link it here once it gets approved:

AMX-10P IFV
Isuzu NPS (Giant Bow)
Looking forward to all of these especially the Isuzu NPS :)
Image taken at Selamat Datang Monument in Jakarta right after G30. When the Saladins were “New” they used to have those 5 numbers on the front right fenders rather than the modern square TNI plates, not often you get to see it
here’s an image of a vehicle with very similar markings during that same time

massive upgrade from the QW-3 on the TD-2000B ADS, so this is very good for us irl
From what I’ve heard it’ll be the FD-2000B variant (250km range)
