Expanded List of Indonesian Vehicles - Air

she was armed could be a low BR fighter if true. the goal seems to be a coin aircraft so bombs and rockets could be in the cards. Gaijin has been liberal about that kind of stuff we have gotten vehicles where guns on the IRL was not equipped with or they never got around to testing the bombs but it was going to happen. A argument in a suggestion post can be made because it has been done in game. (Kikka)

my concerns is more of the fact that the actual prototype model is not the exact same as the restored one. Because on the old photos the left-hand side has a hole on it, but the right-hand side doesnt

it could be that they try to make it as the “production” aircraft is supposed to be, but that cant be right since the “production aircraft” is going to be the improved Nu-225, which does exist at one point

here’s the full text

Translation=

placement of bombs and rockets or possibly new bombs might be applied to the still-being-created aircraft, which is the “production type” of the Sikumbang.

This prototype [nu-200] in the mean time will not be combat tested, but rather specifically used as a testing aircraft to provide necessary details for the 2nd aircraft [Nu-225].

Its hoped that the 2nd aircraft, which will be equipped with a continental engine, can be finished this year, so that it can be given to air squadrons for proper introduction

There’s a theory by a Key Aero forum user that the current NU-200 prototype were fitted with the wings of NU-225

Of interest is that the preserved example in the photo above does not appear to show the wing slots, or leading edge landing light being present?? as in the earlier historical photos, (is it possible it originally flew with a modified wooden wing, later replaced with a metal wing, or has it been restored with the metal wing of the later NU-225?)

Of interest also is an apparant change to the rollover truss and canopy framing compared to earlier photos? perhaps the NU-200 underwent further development in parallel with the NU-225?

https://www.key.aero/forum/historic-aviation/37217-ever-heard-of-the-nu-200-sikumbang

It might be plausible that maybe the weapon test was conducted with the new wings, instead of its well-documented original wings.

This front photo of NU-225 also shows a hole in each wings, which might be the MG mount. Also notice what looks like Hispano-Suiza/Oerlikon rocket launchers under the right wing near the gear.

Are they carrying any weapons? Can’t tell with the quality

nah, its just an escort mission like any other. Plus we never carry armaments unless its an exercise or CAP

Negotiations underway for the acquisition of 16 aircraft in Indonesia… KAI states, “Targeting contract by year-end, not confirmed in November.”

Notable Excerpts:

Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) is expanding its reach into overseas export markets as it achieves its key goals for this year: the development of the Korean fighter jet KF-21 and the first delivery of mass-produced aircraft to the South Korean Air Force. With negotiations underway to sign the first export contract with Indonesia, a co-developer of the KF-21, within the year, expectations for subsequent exports are rising as the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the Philippines, and Malaysia are also being mentioned as potential markets.

According to industry sources on the 12th, Yuanta Securities projected in a recent report that Indonesia’s project to acquire 16 KF-21s has entered the final stage of negotiations and that a contract is scheduled to be signed in November.

In this regard, KAI drew a line, stating that the signing of a contract in November is not yet confirmed. However, the company explained that it is true that it has been holding discussions with Indonesia with the goal of completing the contract within the year.

“It is not yet at the stage where we can say a contract has been finalized in November,” a KAI official said. “Since Indonesia is a joint development partner, it is true that it is highly likely to become our first export customer, and we are currently continuing discussions with the goal of signing a contract within the year.”

TLDR = Final negotiations projected to be completed in November, however it is not a fact, but rather a possibility. It is however, planned to conclude at the end of this year

Maybe the negotiation would have gotten smoother had they send the 1 prototype they promised to be tested in Indonesia :v
Maybe even paraded for the people to see to gain support lol

Did y’all have information about upgraded indonesian Su-27SK?This thing spotted carrying RVV-AE with AKU-170E Pylon (Which is standard Su-27SK can’t do because of Hardware compatibility)

all of the original SK has been entirely upgraded to the SKM standard, the only massive difference is with the airframe, since the SK (01 & 02) is the older probeless airframe whereas the rest has a probe

but internally they’re the same, which is similar to the Su-27SM

If that’s so then we should get Early and Late indonesian Su-27SK.
Early Su-27SK at 13.0 and Late at 13.3 (Just like J-11A MLU),let the SKM at 13.7 With same configuration as Su-27SM (I mean with Unrealistic Dual Rack R-77)

It looks like the TS-2702 still uses the SPO-15LM instead of the L-150 if we look at the antenna on the air intake.

No slat sensor, so it’s definitely no L-150 there

It 8s called Su-27SK and Su-27SKM

Su-27SKM wont have the same confguration as the 27SM worse engines different radar

In that way, we will get 3 types of Su-27 in the same tech tree
Early Su-27SK at 13.0
Late Su-27SK at 13.3
Su-27SKM at 13.7

Yes. That’s why I say “I mean with Unrealistic Dual Rack R-77”

there is no such thing as a late Su-27SK

they are called Su-27SKM since they got upgardes to that standard

They are not upgraded to that standard.
One example is the SPO-15LM still exist in that thing meanwhile Su-27SKM has L-150

I called that as a “Late” because that upgrade had Very little information and no Official Designation.

I think it’s fair to call upgraded Su-27SK as Su-27SK (late) to differentiate Su-27SKM and Su-27SK with SKM standard and Gaijin would probably go that way as they already done it several times before :v

Though, I don’t expect to see 3 Su-27 in the TT. Early Su-27SK is technically already in the game as USSR Su-27 skin.
So, my guess is we’ll only get Su-27SKM w/o unrealistic dual rack R-77 in 13,7 because it’s essentially the same as Su-30MK2 & 30MKK just with single seat (they both should be 13,7 too btw. it’s long overdue)

That’s what I mean.
Tbh,Su-27SK at 13.3 with bad RWR is kinda DoA especially when you get uptiered at 14.3 (J-11A had MAWS even it’s Rwr Still SPO-15LM). and of course that’s also not a great idea when indonesia also use Su-30MK or even MK2 at same br with better RWR and had capabilities to use A2G missile such as X-29

Don’t forget too about how little information we can get from that upgrade, Implementing something with limited data or information will only complicate gaijin and end up with confusion and even misinformation.
