Expanded List of Indonesian Vehicles - Air

i have some question, the SF.260 Indonesia Air Force receive from Singapore are M and W version with W version is capable to use 2 to 4 hardpoint for weapons, so why it’s not included here? is it because lack of info on armament used or something?

used as a trainer only, we also dont have any evidence of it being capable of carrying suspended ordinance. We dont know what modifications the singapore did before giving it to us, they could’ve just removed that option since we wanted to use it as a trainer, etc.

besides it has a cruise speed of 300km/h, that itself is, for lack of a better word, quite horrendous (Like rank 1 level bad, and it was made in the 70s!)

Indonesia had a few SF-260WS (LK-2601 / LK-2602 / LK-2603 / LK-2604 / LK-2605 / LK-2606 / LK-2608 / LK-2612 / LK-2618) from previous Singaporean stocks, but those were also used as trainers only. Also since the WS is the Singaporean specific model, there is sadly no information on armament for it. It could be the same as the W, but it’s simply unknown now.

Personally I’d say the best way to add an SF.260W to the techtree would be through Thailand. While they also didn’t use the armament, they had one unmodified SF.260W (F15-18/21) which was just used as part of their SF.260MT trainer fleet. While they didn’t seem to have the removable pylons, this aircraft is fully capable of using them.

But the more important thing and the reason why I think this would be better than an Indonesian example is that this was used as the lead-in to Thailands most recent domestic aircraft development. This airframe was used as the basis for the B.ChOr.2, an experimental aircraft that was used mainly to study the SF.260s construction by disassembling it, then reassembling it while integrating some Thai components. This would then be the basis for the RTAF-6 (B.ThOr.6), a Thai domestic aircraft based on licensed SF.260TP

(I hope this isn’t too much Thailand for the Indonesian topic, I can move it if needed)

yeah i ask because XT-4 is passed to Dev and have the same situation where it actually have capability to carry suspended armament but never carry anything but dummy weapons

I’m guessing Gaijin probably found a source or two that confirms that the T-4’s can carry ground munitions but they either won’t disclose it or it’s on the Russian counterpart. Or they are basing the weapon loadouts from the MT-X mockup which was part of the same program that the T-4 is apart of just from a different manufacturer
