Everything wrong with the Mirage IIIS

Yep, indeed wrong - but iirc many sims get this wrong…

I’ve ammended your bug report with relevant sections describing how it correctly works from the MIRO’s pilot manual…

In summary, this drawing explains it already all:

grafik

(7): Elevons (“elevator ailerons”)
(8) Stabilisierungsklappen (“stabilizing control surfaces”)

And it’s really the whole Mirage III/5 family: Mirage IIIC, E, S, 5, Milan, Shahak, Nesher, Kfir,… everything, iirc about a dozen aircraft in total affected by this issue.

this one is now accepted.
Funny how it was open almost 3 years, and now accepted

2nd Dev Server is open and the Mirage got it’s new radar.

from the first felling it is essentially the same as the Mirage Crayon Ibis radar. The locks are still very inconstistent at longer ranges. It only has a search mode, no ACM, no A2G

Also no ballistic computers were readded.

Radar overall very disappointing.

@Psusennes, @Schindibee, @Godvana I don’t have technical info on the radar. If you could check if the radar is correct.

No other changes to the Mirage.

TARAN-18 was A/A and A/G (Rockets, Bombs). It was split screen able to map terrain. We already submitted bug report. Obviously they only implemented parts of it.

Its still not OK

If I’m not mistaken it should also be Doppler radar right?

Correct

Got any source for that?

Mine all say it’s a monopulse radar…

AI overview? Seriously?

No. But in the end all sources that i have, which state it was a pulse doppler with terrain following will state exactly the same. Unfortunately, looks like GJ has not accepted it as a source.
I sent them a video, from the Mirage training, which explain the TARAN in very detail. No joy.

Its clearly explaind, in german, that we have a/a (guns/missile) and a/g (rockets/bombs) hud. Not implemented.

I highly doubt that GJ goes away from their double standards, implementing things on one aircraft which they have clearly on internet sources, while not implementing things even if they have video and documents showing it.

In short, the F18 has more ground ordenance and wrong weaponry for balancing and the Mirage3S does not get the correct radar operation.

Which video is that? I still have found no confirmation of the TARAN being anything else than monopulse.

I saw a document which explains TARAN bein Pulse Doppler radar but sadly i dont remember where i saw it.

The video will not confirm the PD, but show how the lock on process and symbology of the radar works in conjunction with the Falcon missile.

With regards to the ballistic computer. Its confirmed but we got gaijined

Translation is the Fire Control computer calculate the trigger point for air, ground and guns

This document is in possession of GJ. The do nothing with it.

Not the Mirage, but the RWR on the Swiss F-5E was changed to AN/ALR-87 (same as the Mirage)

Wow, one bug report fixed

Two. My RWR one and the one with the not correctly working minimap compass, both are fixed…

Recently got confirmation the CM drop pattern is luckily working on this aircraft, yet the Swiss F-5E with the exact same CM dispenser still has the drop pattern bug other F-5s do, lmao. Gaijin sure is strange…

Rejected - Not a bug

From the snippets of the source it sounds like CCRP, but as the mod says they need more info…

on a sidenote: from what I saw is that the Mirage should have a lead indicator for the Falcon missiles
