They modeled it correctly in the X-Ray, but the stats are the same as the Cyroano.
Thats whats so funny about this situation…
They seemingly copy pasted the IIIE onto the IIIS model

Still, I guess it’s just the info popup that’s wrong.
What I find positive is that it IS a different model from the Cyrano in the X-ray view, so Dev’s are aparently aware it’s not the same radar, and we don’t have to argue for that… = )
We got the cockpit now.
HUD sight cannot be switched or I am doing something wrong.
Don’t know, only took a screenshot from work, haha!
But I’m happy so far! If they now also hear our prayers about the armament…
How would you switch it? Am not familiar with cockpit controls (I don’t play sim)
Simply by switching the sight mode (iirc Ctrl+S by default). Atm it tells me “no ballistic computer”, which worries me a bit, as I believe the MIRO should have EEGS of some sorts with the TARAN radar.
Sadly however I don’t have the part of the pilots manual that describes radar and weapons systems in Detail, so can’t really say…
But I see that the map display is implemented too! Great!!!
Somewhere I still should have an original slide that was used in the projector of the map display unit, covering whole Switzerland…
Edit:
Hmmm, actually your screenshot hints at how it should be:
“Reticule” is the sight, “SOL” means “ground” so those switch position switch the sight to air/ground modes, the upper positions (mostly hidden in the screenshot) would be “AIR” and would swith to the air/air sight modes…
They apparently removed the ballistic computer on .26 it had before
let’s hope they add it back with the correct radar.
I’m surprised it hasn’t been added already tbh
But maybe it’s taking some time due to it being an entirely new radar
Like I already wrote some month ago, in 2024, when you start with the Swiss Air Force, you have to start full new vehicles, just because nothing we got is standard. Not even the Leopard 2. My boss ist Leo2 commander. The electronics is all modified for Swiss Army.
TARAN-18 is inexistent till now, no copy&past possible
I think GJ already have done an awesome job with the uniqueness of the cockpits on the P-16, Hunter Mk.58, Mk58A (1971), Tiger F-5 and Mirage IIIs.
I am convinced that lot of things will get done till the release.
The Falcon can now be fired. Just saw it in the datamines and went to test it.
The wrong ibis radar is quite bad for the missile.
Lock ~8km
Launch authorization: ~4
It also only starts to pull after burning, so you have the 2.09 seconds where it just flies straight…
It barely hits the target in a headon with 100-200m alt difference, becasue of the 2.09 sec it just does nothing.
idk if that is how it is supposed to be

You can’t spot the difference with Eyeball Mk. 1, but actually it starts guiding after 2 seconds, not 2.09, as you can see in the screenshot.
After testing it a bit, this thing pulls. The radar sucks big time, but that should be fixed with the right radar (hopefully).
It should not be used under 3km, only if you lead it correctly because of the 2sec boost time. But even then it sometimes pulls crazy stunts.
I would guess the effective range at 3km up to around 8km
Anything below you in altitude, you cannot even lock.
Getting lauch authorization (2 red circles) is pretty rare, but most of the times it also tracks with only 1 red circle. With no red circle it is a gamble. Sometimes it tracks, but then self destructs midway… Maybe this could be a report.
Yep, the Radar is on yet there. Many times you get the plane straight in fron of you 4km, radar set to 28Km and you cannot see the radar echo.
According to my sources AIM-26B had a warm up time of 16sec.
See the video I have posted.
The radar implementieren is not correct either.
I also found 2 good sources for the AIM-26B:
1814.35 KB
The “minimum launching time for AI radar detection” or “minimum launching preparation time from AI radar detection” is listed as 15sec.
This could be the warm-up phase. Which I think they changed to 0.5 sec for game balance. (15 sec lock in this game is just unrealistic)
The no guideance during boost seems to be right. So we just have to lead the missile.
The graphs of the speed and pull can’t be really confirmed right now, because the Ibis radar is just … no it.
There’s a visual issue with all mirage iii based airframes, the pitch dampers act as the main control surface instead of working in pair with the elevons. This isn’t exclusive to the IIIS, but there’s no general mirage III topic that’s active, but it looks kind of ugly and been in the game for years so I’m sharing it here
