Ignoring the fact that the airspawns are objectively bad, they have some large issues with disparity between different aircraft. The difference between spawn speeds is too varied for similar aircraft. The Mig-29 spawns at mach 1.15, while the EFT spawns just below mach 1. There’s also some planes that are slow for no specific reason, such as the J-10 and JF-17, both of which spawn below mach 0.9. Meanwhile the Su-24, and F-111 spawn under 700kmh, leading to them being objectively worse than before.
This leads to some incredible imbalances, and there is no discernible pattern for what plane spawns at what speed. Therefore, I propose for every single jet aircraft spawning at a universal airspawn to spawn at 500kmh TAS. This ensures that planes don’t spawn faster/slower for no reason, and that no plane spawns too fast either.
Ideally they would be all removed, but since Gaijin is adamant on a worse experience this is the next best thing.

Bumping this thread to talk about a new addition: The Mig-25. It spawns considerably and unreasonably slower (spawning in at only 600ish km)/h than anything else at it’s BR that isn’t subsonic, or an F-111/Su-24. My theory is that Gaijin uses this as a soft balancing factor, but even then it makes no sense why they would deliberately nerf an iconic event plane.
I’m also confused as to why there hasn’t been more major discussion of varying airspawn speeds outside of a few examples, and I think there deserves to be one.

They should just remove fighter air spawns, I don’t get why take off where removed other than to highlight their stupid severe weather forced ground spawn… which they then made optional.
And not to mention that when I squad up with my friend it spawns us on opposite sides of the map something like 90% of the time… makes it real easy to fly together when we get spawned 25kms apart…

Leave it to gaijin to make interceptors and frontline bombers slower at the start.
But why not make an official suggestion? Oh wait I know, because gaijin keeps deleting them and not giving reasons ☺️ thanks 🙏🏾
But yes, I agree, this seems like elementary implementation
