Events, Vehicle Devaluation and Marketplace Integrity ---> An Open Discussion

Sounds like a risk right there.

Sell quickly or wait and hope the value increases while taking the risk that the value will tank.

I remember seeing a reddit thread a couple weeks ago about some kid who was going to some sort of military boot camp and he wanted to buy the most expensive vehicle he could from the marketplace and someone sold one of the russian tanks to him for 2K Gaijin Coin lol.

Oh man those are expensive, that’s rather disappointing to see. Thank you anyways.

welcome to a mishandled joke of a “market place” :)

Boy is it. It’s a shame because recently I’ve started to advocate for a market style system for console. I’m not too sure why anymore.

This also really sucks for squadron battles too as certain event vehicles end up being meta at their BR such as the russian BI and you either need to drop a ridiculous amount of money on the marketplace to buy it or just give up as none of the tech tree vehicles will compete with these certain vehicles for SQB

in fact, i’d go to lengths to not even call it a “marketplace to begin with”, just an artificial way to bloat certain vehicles to stupid prices

and we know how bad the “auction house” went

oh yea 100%.

Im fortunate enough to have gotten the mk2 and 5/1 centurions when they were still dirt cheap.

the mk2 is near meta for 6.7 and the 5/1 is a mk3 with more armour and a .50 cal. Very very good options now lost to most

I’m pretty much laughing at you all and tearing up since I don’t even have access to the marketplace lmao

That vehicle was a part of the event that finished in December of 2025.
What price do you expect it to be at ?

Considering they’re over a year old at this point, their price is far from good.
It’s funny how the price barely even moved in a year for UD/BE.

I don’t think that matters that much tho, I’d just say it’s cheap because it’s a shitbox.

A vehicle that requires far more playtime and was active during no vacation season. So under what you said, this thing should be more expensive than the boxer, when its not.

No one is forcing you to grind the event for the vehicle.

Yeah. His entire issue is “i spent all this time grinding these vehicles and other people are not willing to buy it at prices i want to sell them at”

“I can’t fleece people for old event vehicles anymore that I’ve been holding on to wait for a price increase!”. That’s basically it.

Introduction to the free tree is something many players demand. So you have to expect this to happen. Don’t keep it too long!

You took the chance but this time you lost. If you actually invested the time for the money, you are doing something seriously wrong. Flipping burgers at minimum wage should beat event participation at any time.

Why is that obvious? And how do you know, how other players see it? If they participate, they may have reached different conclusions.

At the moment, it looks as if you feel that way and have not yet realized that nonparticipation is an option. You sound like a FOMO victim on the dawn of realization that you don’t miss out if you pass it up.

That is available: Participate only in events where you want to keep the vehicle. Buy what you want but couldn’t grind.

Yet it still has much more potential to be somewhat expensive in the future.
The 80UD/BE is a perfect example of how even good vehicles (in your opinion) can stagnate in price because supply is high and demand is low.
