It’s doable, as its 5k more points than i usually did, BUT now we only have few days between that same (actually bigger) grind, so it will definitely burn people out even more.
Now it’s 2.2 million every few months for 3 tradeable vehicles… How exactly is that better?

I prefer the new format over the old one, it may be a bit more grind in total, but it’s more spread out, not in a few bursts (I’m thinking marathon vs a few sprints).
Of course people may have their reasons to prefer one or the other, I did both but prefer that new system (also they won’t be giving us only high tier vehicles, on some events the grind should be less).

What are you even talking about. It has been stated multiple times over the years by the devs that GF was always intended to be combined arms mode. They have no interest in TO mode.
I believe this has more to do with the average duration of a low tier AAB matches (which received an incredibly expedited AI self destruction pace) and also (to your point) that a significant majority of new players (<100 hours) rip through low tier AAB matches very quickly.
Not that ARB matches above 10.7 last all that long either, but I’d wager that ARB is a much more popular mode on a macro scale for players with more than a few hundred hours and beyond Rank 3–4, which I believe to be (although it would be interesting to examine) more than 50% of the player base.

In fact, I remember consistently doing Operation Frost in 2019 in 5-10 AAB matches.
The new format is made intentionally prohibitive to juice the daily player count and keep the matchmaker churning.
Moreover, if they want to hold fast with the wildly unacceptable 45,000 pts every 48 hours, why not let us just accumulate 405,000 pts over a two week period?
And I did the first 35000 score event in less than an hour, which was at most 7 matches, using A-10.
Granted today I’d use Q-5A instead if I cared about finishing within 90 minutes, but I usually get more than enough score across normal air RB play time.
So, you were able to do an older event with 77% of the requirement of the current event in less than an hour, but they were checks notes

If you check server replays right now the duration of matches is not that different, the longest match in Air AB is 6:53 and the longest match in Air RB is 7:23 and you start in the airfield. I remember matches lasting 20min or more in Air RB, how can anyone have fun in such short matches while having to take off from the ground. Plus, I’m not even considering the “Newbies battles” which are exclusive in AB.
That’s the exception, jets(higher tiers), which I mentioned earlier.
