Exactly. Would give new players a chance to get them and allow old players to take a break from event grinding.
See the major issue that people will have with that and something gaijin has stated they don’t want to do is, is it will effect the marketplace prices.
They already effect the marketplace prices with lootbox style crates like the recent Toolbox.
They could be unsellable coupons. I wouldnt mind. Plus, some of those prices really need to come down. If you couldnt sell your tank for $1.5k after like 5 years, too bad
The silver crates have basically no effect as the drop chance is so incredibly low and the fact no one actively tries to use them.
It isn’t just the coupon that is the issue it is the mere presence of the tank. The more accounts with it the less they can demand for it.
Yea, I’m gonna have to say that’s wrong too.
People very much purchase these loot crates to get these old event vehicles in hopes they get one they like and can’t afford otherwise or to sell for GE to use for other vehicles or premium time.
Yes the prices need to come down but they won’t because those people are in too deep now.
And even now I’m already waiting for the next boxes. Because another 30,000,000 SL have already piled up.
And yet you have no conclusive number of how many actually try their luck more than a handful of times. There would be far more of these previous vehicles out and about if that were the case.
And you ALSO don’t have a conclusive number of how many people try their luck. You ALSO don’t seem to realize that the drop rate for the Object 279 was .0001 which is a one in 10,000 chance. which should (on drop rate) require 600 million SL to get that vehicle. Using my own profile as an example, I have around 1.5 months total game time where I have earned around 160m SL. I have always had premium and have used a lot of premium vehicles during this time, so a FTP player would have MUCH, MUCH less SL gained over this amount of time. So I have NEVER GOTTEN CLOSE to the SL required to meet the drop rate of the Object 279 with every advantage leverageable in 1.5 months of game time played. You want to make this absolutely massive undertaking equal to one battlepass cycle for consoles while requiring PC players to still require ACTUAL MONEY to get the same vehicle. You’re insane if you think any business would ever do this, because it is blatantly clear that this an even more unfair practice than Sony/Microsoft not allowing the marketplace and would cause an absolute uproar which would greatly effect the game in a negative way. The economy boycotts would seem like a mole hill in front of the mountain of players leaving because of an idea like this.
You would probably be the only one leaving since your only issue is the fact it could be done with a level of grinding comparable to an event itself. With the vehicles in the crates on a rotating basis with the largest selection of vehicles being deemed ultra rare. The Object 279 was also one of the more recent of the old style of events so it would take forever before it would appear in said rotation unless Gaijin decided to make it an earn and roll crate. You also seem to be forgetting you were told that Microsoft has had no issue with 3rd party marketplaces so it isn’t Microsoft doing it.
Also given that some of those events had multiple vehicles in them it would take years to redo every single event vehicle. If you do JUST the legacy event vehicles the majority of the player base would be upset and be crying about recycled content. If you were to take a measured approach like new then old then new it would take even longer.
You are absoluetly incapable of seeing the insanity of this idea. Making paid player traded content available for free for as much effort as a low rank premium from the warbond shop. At least rerunning the events with the vehicles asna reward would at least be fair to all parties involved. Rediculous idea that anyone should be able to earn vehicles for free that the rest of the community can only access by paying. Go tell Sony they need to address this instead of trying to get paid content for free because a multibillion dollar company company isn’t willing to add the marketplace.
- You have the ability to get that content whenever your heart desires.
- For once stop lying when I have already pointed out multiple times and as it shows in the post that it is 25(TWENTY FIVE). The one you keep trying to use in your tantrums is 15(FIFTEEN) special task medals.
- You absolutely know that what you are recommending is impossible and are only saying it to try and seem reasonable. However this entire time you have been the least reasonable person present given the majority of your responses are tantrums.
No, I can’t because I have to PAY MONEY. That is the difference you must not be seeing. Marketplace vehicles require MONEY, not special task medals.
It doesn’t matter how many special task medals it costs, it still is free currency. Unlike the marketplace where you must PAY MONEY.
Not as impossible as you trying to circumvent the marketplace by getting marketplace vehicles FOR FREE while others must PAY MONEY.
I’m unreasonable because I don’t want people to get vehicles FOR FREE that I (and every other PC player) would have to PAY MONEY for.
You think the system in place isn’t fair because PC has the marketplace but consoles don’t, but want to make it even by letting consoles, and consoles only, earn those vehicles FOR FREE while other players must PAY MONEY. Address this issue with Sony so they can understand that their customers want the marketplace, otherwise you won’t get it until you do a PC transfer.
If you made the trophy’s more like the ones available during events for SL, I’d be all for it. Console has the short end of the stick so I see no issue with them having the box be a “permanent” addition to the Warbond shop for console players
A permanent SL trophy wouldn’t be horrible so long as it could be reworked as the current ones are horrible. The best it could be done is getting rid of wagers and orders, making it so not every single booster was timed especially if you get a 150/300/500%, and fix the drop rates so an uncommon vehicle didn’t have the same drop rate as an ultra rare vehicle.
Nothing has been set in stone yet. It’s all still up for discussion. So unless you know some insider stuff. You’re jumping the gun on that statement.
Xbox Boss Wants Epic, Other Stores on Console, Dropping Exclusivity Partly for Gen Z Appeal
“Third Party Marketplace”. Those are launchers. Because the Gaijin Marketplace is technically not a part of War Thunder since it isn’t solely accessed through the game it is considered third party. Gaijin has previously asked Microsoft about the Marketplace and the response was neutrality; if it comes it comes if it doesn’t it doesn’t. Also worth saying Phil Spencer has talked about getting Steam onto Xbox since I believe 2020 but it hasn’t gone anywhere yet.
