Crazy the amount of games where I see f18, f15 and su30 that keep flying straight and shooting all of their missiles in the first salvo and dying to easily defendable positions
R-77-1 is better than MICA in medium engagements, I require the addition of MICA NG
Unfortunately buddy, I think you might be the one dreaming up of a scenario in which it such a thing never happened because I couldn’t care less about the EFT’s weight when it is underperforming in many different areas, and my point of pointing out the EFT’s weight was not to call for a nerf, but to show how certain, not all, certain members of the community were obsessed with the Rafale’s empty weight while showing little to no interest in the EFT’s. You were actually painting a picture of how things were actually the opposite.
So now it’s the player fault. What a sudden change. Hope I don’t see the word sm2 is op than a eft comming from you am I right ?
No. A well flown EFT should smite an SM2 as it would in real life…
However both the US and RU teams consistently underperform given the tools available to them. See also the Su30MKK vs Su30AMV. Identical aircraft yet the RU one seems to be more or less used by vegetables…
Notice how many of these are similar to the Rafale’s, although I’ll let Vizender go into the details instead. Just notice how the EFT is underperforming in many areas like the Rafale, yet you never see me harp or characterize the EFT as “overperforming”. That’s the difference I want to point out.
No offense, but how can we really be concerned that the EFT will overtake the Rafale when we know this is going to be the endgame?

It didn’t though.
It’s radar didn’t work for 6 months and even now CAPTOR-M is still the weakest radar at top tier. It was good at gunfighting and that was it.
The idea it was OP only came from US mains that no longer won every match without effort, the EFT with M-Scan was quite weak relatively speaking in actual match conditions and is still one of the weaker 14.3s.
But yes, both are nerfed, but the Macron seems to pretend the Rafale is struggling at the moment whilst actually having a number of things not yet given to other nations.
Good point. Let’s based our choices of buffing and nerf on player states.
So what your saying is that eft from UK with a 2kd and 60% w/r don’t deserve a buff.
It didn’t work as you’d hope it would. It was still far from unusable. Most of the issues it had were common across many mech radars - and ESA had issues of their own due to instability.
As I said, only the F15E could somewhat compete and itself was powercrept. None of the oether nations outside France, EFT users and to some degree the US had any fun for months.
I don’t think it currently gets anything that other nations should get don’t have tho.
Everyone gets great radars (many are even better than the Rafale by quite a margin), armement (especially after the buff, aside from maybe the democratization of AIM120D over the C5, but the buffs are marginal), and flight models
I’m taking issue with the characterization or said narrative of “The Rafale is overperforming!”. Mind you, if anything has an accepted report showing overperforming flight performance, it is the Eurofighter which has an accepted report of overperforming acceleration.
EF2000 Overperforming in Acceleration // Gaijin.net // Issues
Do I ever characterize the Eurofighter as a whole to be overperforming? Of course not.
If we are gonna add missiles like the Comet we might aswell add the IRIS-T BLK2, Meteor MLU and british FASE
No, it didn’t work.
For the first 6 months the only way to use it was in ACM and HMD modes. That was it. It did not find targets in TWS. I literally pointed my radar at a contrail in ASB for over a minute before it eventually decided to track the target
In ASB it was DOA
I added things up to ~2030, which is very reasonable. If IRIS-T Block 2 is going to be within the next few years, then that’s acceptable. Otherwise iirc, the other missiles are planned for ~2035.
By the time that Comet actually has a place in game, it’ll have been in service by then with how slow they’ve been rolling out missile advancement. I’d also have to add the Stratus-RS for the Rafale if we go up to ~2035 but that was off the list for the same reason.
Also by 2035, we’d see Rafale F5 which would feature much better engines, much better radar coverage gimballed off to the sides, etc. etc. which would outstrip the P4E Typhoons of that era since F5 is supposed to be delivered by 2033.
Either way you cut it, whether it’s the 2030 timeline or the 2035 timeline, the Rafale would outstrip the EFT but around that time UK should have their 6th gen as well, but that’s not looking at the EFT and Rafale strictly.
That wasn’t his point tho. He said that Russian teams have great vehicles but don’t seem to make use of them
And gaijin already balances BR based on stats, not on the actual plane performance. Or in no way you’d see the premium Su30 below 13.7.
Nor would you see half of the subsonic 7.0-9.0 jets being at the BR they are
It’s a piiot report. I don’t know why you are even considering that as good. He makes up a load of nonsense.o
Hes the person that got BOL nerfed iirc by saying smaller packet = smaller CM and that was it. Totally failing to recognise the difference in CM
Project actually looks dead now, but we’ll probably see confirmation of that by the end of the year/early next year, because if France also stop the project after Britain, there’s no way the remaining participants can continue the program
FASE being the other project that is followed instead of Meteor MLU. I do also believe that there’s some form of cooperation with France on that project
And the whole discussion was about the plane itself not player stats based on.
See how one stupid off topic can affect the whole point.
Get used to it
He is also the one that made most (all ?) reports for rafale high altitude, so no double standard :)
But then again, any under/over performance of planes at high altitude comes from war thunder not having a proper tropopause simulation (using the standard atmospheric model up to 15000m instead of transitioning)
Because I would assume the report would have been contested and shut down long ago if it didn’t have validity to it. I even asked around a bit if there was anything incorrect/invalid about it and didn’t get an affirmation on it, just that there would be work for the developers to make sure that the acceleration getting changed doesn’t change the stated climb-to-time.
Bringing you back to
Mostl likely a dev response would be the same as for the rafale : overperformance is known and due to tropopause effect, not a bug
