The art of decisive mouse movements is something I was forced to learn… with T-2.
F-111A will also force you to learn that.

And it is a NECESSARY skill at the top end regardless of what plane you are flying.
Most planes won’t let you run max AOA near their sustained turn rate, most aircraft aren’t F-15E, F-104S, or F-5E.
Most aircraft will pull 2 - 5Gs ABOVE their sustained turn rate, and that’s a lot to account for.

The German and British tech tree for the most part lack aircraft that punish people for not learning this skill, it’s primarily the Tornado and F-111C that will punish you before the Typhoon.
Rafale will punish you the most, as it can pull the most AOA above its sustained, it’s like 7Gs above its sustained turn rate, it’s wild how much you can bleed your speed with Rafale, far above any other jet in the game.

Obviously I think the 15-16Gs max is wrong, and at some stage the Rafale won’t be the fastest speed bleeder in the game, but for now it is.

same for everyone else as well. If over the course of the next few weeks, if you have an instance where the radar simply wont see the target, no matter what you try. Please share a clip of it, ideally clip + replay link + time stamp.

The only way I think we will figure out what is going on is data, lots and lots of data

As you can see, the radar is horrible, and if I provided the clips, it’s even worse because the radar starts having a siezure

Ghost contacts are a seperate issue. Im more focuisng on the radar being pointed straight at something and simply not seeing it. With no logical excuse. No notch, no ground clutter, etc etc.

I’ve only had radar schizophrenia+ seizures, while sometimes with HMD I have to press lock target button couple times before getting the lock. But one time I was chasing an F15 that was fleeing in front of me, and I was getting radar signals from the F15 even if his radar was pointed in the opposite direction

The moment you get any AOA on the airframe, it just stops gaining speed even diving to the ground which is absolutely absurd. If this is intentional, I’m lost for words.

I am not using a mouse, i am using full real controls and direct input.

I fly often with the Mirage 2000 and am very well accustomed to speed losses at high AOA

I am only pulling 1-2g above the sustained turn rates, but am losing huge amounts of speed due to a signficant loss of afterburning thrust.

The flight model itself seems to perform as expected, but the thrust loss is bizarre.

I’ve not seen any other aircraft do something like this other than the old flight model for the Javelin.

It doesn’t look as bad, until you equip some ground and air munitions. Than the Eurofighter shits itself and acts like it is carrying a 1 ton tungsten block

Maybe they have modeled each suspended weaponry as aforementioned supersonic cube?

I see no abnormal thrust loss, just the standard losing of thrust when you go slower which is universal of all jets.

Can you recreate this graph with both planes carrying a standard A2A loadout and 50% fuel?

It did still feel really bad for an Aircraft that can perform a 10 second vertical performance takeoff with full ground loadout lmao. You just lose all you speed the moment you just put a little AOA on the aircraft its wild even when diving to the ground. Like you move the aircraft a little bit and you instantly feel the drag its insane.

Speed is too low.

Start at mach 0.9 and slowly increase the controll input to the elevators.

I cannot as Statshark doesn’t allow you to plug in drag induced from weapons.
Not only that, but pylons don’t cause drag in War Thunder.

4.5th generation flight performance my ass, we will know how bad Eurofighter will be when they introduce the F22 raptor, and then realize even though irl Eurofighter can dogfight the F22, it will have no shot in warthunder

You mean the F-22 that loses every time to Typhoon IRL, and multiple times to Rafale because the F-22 is 19,500kg empty and over 27,000kg filled with fuel for those extremely hungry engines…
All while having the same air to air loadout as Typhoon currently has in-game.
