The point is, you are arguing against IRIS-T and ASRAAM being shared across all EFTs to maintain diversity, but want PIRATE, Paveway IV, etc etc to be C&Ped across all EFTs.
Its just a little… hypocritical

I don’t want anything, in fact I prefer realistic load out over fantasy.
Gaijin can replace brimstone one with three and remove pave way Iv’s from German version.
But if you guys insists on IRIS-T then be ready to share everything because that’s what Gaijin is gonna do.
Only source I’ve ever seen for that 100g is someone comparing plums to oranges or something lol
and that was only for the turn radius and never mentioned any g-pull
The primary source in this report is for stating that SLS is the same as the A2A missile.
The source from Military Technologies are I believe considered tertiary. I don’t know about the sources Electronic for you and Liao Huannian. First one seems to also be tertiary so this would only leave the latter as secondary at best ? Not sure this report is going to go through…
Also a very inaccurate description. Plums and oranges come in lots of different sizes. Speed was also completely extrapolated - saying this would do such a turn at max speed. 100G seems very unrealistic. Even over 70G would be far fetched ? Anyway, sorry for the off topic ;(
the thing is he never made an argument about g pull he only compared the turn radius which was misinterpreted by some ppl as the IRIS-T having double the G-Pull of the r-73
Correct me if I am wrong, but what currently limits the r73 G load is the terrible modelling of low speed high maneuvrability missiles - especially TVC missiles. ASRAAM is neither, its a fast missile with no TVC. I would expect it to conform much better to its datapoints in this aspect
I’m honestly not worried about G pull anyway, 50G is enough for any type of aircraft (something something have 3x more G pull than target?), more important is if it can actually touch those values ingame.
And in close quarters the turn radius would matter way more, and that’s given by the TVC+Big fins.
Even SLM was seen at about 30 max i think and it pulls enough to kill at 0.7km after a pre-programmed 90 degree turn.
If i had the EldE98 I could get even better comparisons to the AA version.
Yeah, everyone else is going to be screwed. Best bit about not having TVC
The key part is the off-boresight stuff. More G off the rails (especially when still accelerating and thus still kinda slow), the closer the target can be to aircraft and still hit insane shots.
TVC was already kinda fixed tho, if there was MICA IR it would hit shots at less than 1km at 180 degrees off boresight, i get into dogfights sometimes at knife point with the rafale and the only reason i don’t die to the micas is they are auto notched that close.
Interesting thing is that MICA does reach it’s advertised G load. The TVC limitation mostly reduces it’s performances at low speed (ie, turnfight), where the ASRAAM wouldn’t be able to pull anyway. I think comparing the ASRAAM to the MICA is a better comparaison than to the IRIS-T. The MICA having better close range capabilities, slightly longer range (although thanks to lofting) and Datalink (unless I’m confusion the ASRAAM not having it ?), while the ASRAAM would beat it in time to target.
IRIST-T is just a much, much shorter ranger missile compared to those two, and honestly I think it won’t be anywhere near as good as them in the game in my opinion. Still better than the Aim 9X and r73 tho
So there two things most important to highlight for improvement on the Typhoon/Eurofighter in general: the radar capability, and the ability to conduct multiple attack using the Brimstone with (mmW) — millimetre-wave Seeker
TVC missile are still gimped in their total thrust deflection by quite a large margin. This would allow them to reach peak G load at even lower speed, thus achieving better HOB in low speed engagements
Yep. Both would be major buffs. Others include
and then there are niche buffs for things like ASB such as:
Radar definitely needs improvements yeah. However, I don’t think Brimstones are the good armement to wish for. Either they’ll be broken AF, or they’ll be near useless (if they go for allies and dead tanks cause they apparently aren’t great at target recognition between dead, allied and enemy vehicles).
The spear would be more interesting, comparable to the AASM/KH38MT. Probably better than the AASM with their multi mode seeker and better speed, idk about kh38
In this instance I’d say everything that’s not the su30sm for cockpit, and IFF for Rafale, is needed for every vehicles in game. It’s so weird how they gatekeep some cockpit things for only some vehicles (like su30 NTCR and rafale IFF, but on the other hand the HMD of the rafale lacks radar contacts…)
Being able to use PIRATE to ID targets would be nice too. (Not even a new system for the game it’s on a few other aircraft but just missing from the Typhoon.)
Oh yeah, cockpits are busted across the baord:
But they seem to have systematically broken the Typhoons cockpit over the past 8 months instead of fixing it
Yep, that too. PIRATE is still barely worth using at the moment and yeah. Its annoying we are denied that and GMTI Tpod Cueing
