Eurofighter Typhoon (UK versions) - Technical data and discussion (Part 2)

Hey, without the EAP you wouldn’t get the Typhoon we all know and love.

However, this Eurofighter with the new wing profile will certainly have a more powerful flight model than the current delta wing one…

Dude that is prototype from EAP time, its not future model…

😭😭😭

you mean more drag and a lower top speed?

and its not like the EFs are lacking in flight performance

I’ll post my response over here rather than in the other thread.

Yes. Technically, all 3 could get both Missiles. But the question is whether or not they should.

In my opinion, it would be way better if they did not. Not only does this create some assymetrical combat when you have Typhoon vs Typhoon in a match, but it also gives a reason to actually grind more than 1 Typhoon. For example, if all 3 got ASRAAM and IRIS-T, then there would be no reason for me to grind down to it in the Italian TT for example.

It also creates a bit of a balancing issue, where the Typhoon would have the perfect for missile for any environment and I think would be simpler and cleaner to balance with them having just 1 missile each.

Technical compatibility is not used universally. Tornados have unique loadouts, British Phantoms are denied Napalm, etc etc. So just because they can, doesnt mean they should or will. (heck, up until we finally got ePaveway IIs, the FGR4 was denied GBU-48s because Britain didnt operate them on the Typhoon)

Mica IR

True, but i still dont think that is a good reason to keep all 3 Typhoons 100% identical (loadouts) going forward.

you know it will happen

I am against weaponry being distrubed on basis of compatibility, but I fully expect gaijin to do this. Will this make Eurofighter very broken? Yes it would, a combination of ASRAAM, IRIS-T and Meteor would be very broken. ASRAAM for longer range, IRIS-T for dogfights and Meteor for extreme range
Gaijin probably does not care about balance and would most likely go for this because it would be easier to just copy paste

I agree with this as well

Even I don’t want that to happen, but it gaijin will most probably do this as copy paste is always an easier option

Unless Gunjob convinced the developers that the countries should each have their “flavors” while maintaining overall capabilities with same class of weapons, i.e. all Typhoons get their IIR missiles but they still maintain their flavor of IIR missiles.

Why would anyone use Sniper Pod over Lightening IV on EFT?

They will also go with IRIS-T by the looks of it, maybe they buy ASRAAM as well.

maybe if gaijin gave us a SAL Brimstone 2 or 3 then we would actually want to extra zoom

But we are STILL stuck with the absolute worst possible iteration of Brimstone

If they normalised IR Obscurant in smoke, couldn’t that normalise Multispectral smoke to protect against MMW? and if they don’t we really want extra range for the Brimstone now there is much more powerful SPAA

Fun fact, all top tier tanks have the capability for multi spectral smoke, particularly nations who will almost always either face GB or Italy and Germany.

The continued nerf of the Brimstone needs to end.

There is the debate to be had that with “faithful” modeling, the Brimstone would ignore those CMs IRL.

But, when has that ever stopped Gaijin when it comes to weapon modeling. There are primary docs for massively buffing both Aim-9Ls and Aim-9Ms resistance to flares for example. Or the entire state of BOL

I’d say it’d be worth it if it means we can get F&F
