Gbu-39 : Gliding bombs, requires to get in range with speed (and use GPS guidance, which is not all the time accurate (playing with AASM Gps only, i got few misses)
Brimstone are AGM with far greater capabilties from low speed
Again, you a fixating on Quantity being a justifiable reason to not add them
Just make it so that 6x FnF Brimstone 2s cost the same as 6x KH-38MTs and then if you take any mor ethan 6x Brimstone 2s, the cost increases exponentially.
Sorted.
I still dont really see what the issue is.
If you are justifying not adding FnF Brimstones (which quite frankly, limited to Brimstones 1s that have far less range the GBU-39s) because of killing AI vehicles in ARB… then why isnt this an issue for GBU-39s. Heck, by this logic, No GBU-53s either, would be unfair for F-15Es with 28x FnF AGMs ending matches too quickly… which is ltiereally impossible already.
But will go staright through smoke, with a large enough warhead, such as on the KH-38 or FABs, you may not be able to move far enough quickly enough. Especially if you dont see them coming.
Yes it can, stuff like AGM-65 will self destruct, if it has IOG like the AASM or KH-38 though, it will fly straight through and iirc, relock the target if it can see it again for any reason.
You loose the ability to track the target, but you can still aim a laser at the same spot. Ive killed tanks with PW4s loads of times through smoke. Let alone larger bombs like MK13s or EGBU-24s.
Because Gaijin hasnt added smoke yet that can decoy MMW.
IOG is good enough on something like the KH-38MT to score a direct hit after the target has smoked. this is why you always have to stop moving, smoke and start moving again.
then it’s even more OP saying it like this - but yeah, i guess we should check on every angles of APS before even saying that those 7 vehicules are safe from MMW ARH seekers
because those doesn’t yet exist in every nations of the game,…
or maybe i’m wrong, but then MAKE the LIST of actual stuff existing that would give tanks a chance.
but remember then that Brimstones are given ECCM capabilities - so even those CM’s might not be enough (as you demonstrated for any other weapon yet)
Currently though, MMW-ARH have nothing stop tracking, or at least reduce the capability to make a direct hit.
KH-38ML is only Laser/GNSS/IOG - with smoke, no laser, so move away fast and you’re safe. (you could be already on the move, dropping smokes, then braking and turn away into the smoke, you’ll be safe) // thing that MMW-ARH won’t even be bothered by.
Again… Typhoon not having FnF is fine because its only the Typhoon?
This is about giving the Typhoon something on par with the AASM or KH-38MT or heck, even the AGM-65 already in game.
If those are modeled. Primary docs for Aim-9Ls show they shouldnt be defeated by flares if the target is on reheat. They are 1 flare defeat 99% of the time. Aim-9Ms should have multiple forms of IRCCM, but currently have only one that barely works half the time.
AJ168 have totally made up seekers at the moment
So I dont really see why 100% faithful seeker modeling for the Brimstone is suddenly paramount when literally no other missile in game follows the same rules.
Assuming they were modeled 100% faithfully, which again… is rarely the case.
KH-38MT also has IOG…
and again… assuming 100% faithful modeling. which if that is suddenly paramount, then I want the DL on the PW4s that was denied. I want the MITL on the AJ168 that was denied. I want the push ahead on the Aim-9M that currently isnt modeled. etc etc etc
