Yeah you’d need to start with Ground ATR, the actual challenge for Brimstone and other MMW systems will be the NLOS shots using column attacks or simple search areas.
Since the seeker needs the ability to autominously search a defined area.
And the game also can’t really handle SAL > IR for terminal right now, probably the same for SAL > MMW.
The actual terminal MMW guidance on its own is less of an obstruction than some would have you think.
It even can’t handle GPS/IOG > IR…
Yeah we only have SAL to IOG/GNSS handover actually working.
Just hope they figure it out sooner rather than later, SAL only is rather boring and practically useless in air-modes.
Though hopefully Spear-Glide or Spice-250s sooner rather than later?
(Any insider opinion / personal opinion on whether you think Gaijin might add Spear-glide despite it only really being announced and not a lot of information is available currently?)
SPEAR Glide is an option but it’s little more than a news page on the MBDA site right now, so we will need to wait for something alittle more tangible.
As for how the devs view it that isn’t something I can discuss.
Yeah, that was what I was thinking. Though they added KH-38MT despite only being a mockup. So wondered/hope if they might do the same with the Typhoon with Spear-Glide. Bend the rules a little to give us something FnF
And becomes a lot more prevalent the farther into Missile Thunder naval goes.
SPEAR Glide isn’t even as tangible as 38MT right now.
Give a couple months for MBDA to start making marketing materials etc, then we can look at it abit further.

thanks to recall my primary point:
as it’s obvious that a EF-2000 with 18 brimstone could erase a whole Tank team (16 max remember?) in 1 go.
FnF in game, for aircrafts comes in limtied numbers too (6 for Rafale or Su-34, not 18 like EF-2000 would have) and those are possibly decoyed (Smoke block IR and Laser)
unless one can bring the equivalent of Chaff Countermeasures for all MBT (at least), there would be no reason to add MMW-ARH.
not everyone got APS, and only Chaffs could be deployed on more tanks (even ahistorically)
because adding MMW-ARH to Brimstones would simply makes people cry again to CAS being OP (and they currently do it with KH-38MT already.)
i have no problem for EF-2000 having 18 FnF in Air modes (even if gaijin would have to work out most maps, adding even more Ground units, in order to avoid games ending in 3.5 minutes chrono by 3 EF-2000 → Still Adding work to Gaijin)
but in GRB, those would be insanely too much.

Standard LAU-7 or similar rails yes.
