As “these radar stuff” were in .41, yes.
so no more locking on to thin air?
There’s much less of it now.
It still appear sometimes. Even AIM120 lock outside the box on tws mode still exist.
The ghost contacts bug with all radars is still to be fixed. That isn’t unique to CAPTOR-M. And can’t be making fixed by changes to CAPTOR-M.
Well, atleast rn we can lock jet with HMS faster than before. ;3
Yeah same goes for STT and TWS all track faster than before now. All benefitted from the changes in terms of detection and tracking.
in case gaijin needs someone who sorts bug reports, here am I :)

@Gunjob I wonder, how can something like this happen?

Found this picture of the DASS MFD on the wiki.
The arrows do seem to indicate relative altitude. Most notably the piper seen in the top right, which seems to line up with my assumption posted yesterday seen below:
I wonder if this would be enough to bug report the MFD display.
Its also been mentioned that the in-game RWR (green one) and the cockpit RWR (DASS display) do not show the same targets. Allegedly many of the cockpit RWR just show up as question marks despite the in-game RWR identifying the targets just fine, which seems to be a bizarre oversight.
Here a similar display from the Norwegian Brochure

From the same PDF a bit how the DASS gives support for missle evasion

oh this is like perfect for a bug report I think!
Thought it over, and definitive info is still lacking unfortunately. The pipper seems to indicate that it can be used to slave the radar to an RWR contact, and the arrows most likely indicate relative altitude, but neither are overtly explained in the pics unfortunately :(
the evasion maneuver support has been known for a long while. pilots have talked about it as well. pretty cool tbh as there’s not just ‘defeat’ maneuvers but also ‘defeat while guiding’ n stuff like that; its pretty smart
the same norwegian pres also states that it can launch on datalink contacts which is in line with the fact that everything gets fused and only fused contacts are displayed to the pilot
I heard that the test server has been updated to version .46, do you have any news?
Please do not make this change under any circumstances. If you implement the 4-bar setup, I would like you to maintain the 2-bar configuration. while flying the F-15E for the first time, I realized how powerful the combination of narrow scan (2-bar) and AMRAAM is. Please really stop removing the 2-bar. This is a heartfelt request from me.

This seems like a good way to make brimstones/paveways on the eurofighter better without breaking the game like mmw would.
Im interested to see if devs would consider adding it and how a warthunder implementation would look like
It was a suggestion for more scan patterns rather than replacing any.
