Maybe he bribed the opposite team not so spawn a capable SPAA to blow him out of the sky while he is maneuvering right above the battlefield :) Its a one of a million game with obviously no capable SPAA player at the enemy team.
That is another problem.
I do wonder with additions of more capable AA if they might add mmW.
I am of the opinion that gaijin focused entirely on the “mode 3” of the Brimstone which is the LOAL mode that allowed Brimstones to be ripple fired without needing line of sight of the target and just wiping out an entire convoy, or in the case of war thunder, anyone not hiding behind a building and totally ignored the “mode 2” operation which is a LOBL that just uses the mmW in the terminal phase. (thus the massive emphasis on friendly fire issues as well, which im not even certain are real)
Given the strength and performance of FnF AGMs with IOG that negates the strength of smoke greatly as it is, I dont think mmW is actually all that big of a deal, and there is always the smoke that counter mmW if it was. I think the issue is the quantity of missiles and no matter what they do, people will complain about a jet having 18x FnF missiles and that their Su-34 cant carry 18x KH-38s and so must be nerfed.
SAL only, does mitigate that advantage. (just sucks their performance is so badly nerfed ontop of the SAL only)
But yeah, with any luck, we’ll get IRL performance on the Brimstone with the introduction of better SPAA and likely an update or 2 after the soviets have gotten an mmW AGM for their current top tier jet. Though I can still see limitations, like mmW only being fitted 2x pylons and the rest remain SAL only
All (Western) ones have them already… well, in some form, Gaijin would just need to actually model the counter, i.e the multi-spectral smoke grenades that all NATO MBTs use.
Dang, when Brimstone gonna get FnF capability? Im tired with this KH38 and AASM, they are just spam that missile then back to AF or doin evade maneuver against SAM then prepared for next attack without need check targeting pod.
But KH38 waaahhhh
I guess they can remove the IR guided KH-38s and just leave the laser guided variants if there is no issue with laser only weapons
If you give them an equal UFO as the EF, sure, why not.
So a SU-30MKI?
russia would get the su30sm
as it is the only variant that is operated by the Russian Airforce
I doubt that gaijin would give russia the MKI which only India operates
Idk Russia had a lot of involvement with its creation. But you might be right might be like the 90S.
I get what you’re saying but 4.5 gen aircraft really just shit on everything else aerobatically, it’s not even comparable.
It’s not like other nations don’t have 4.5 gen though.
I still think that equivalents for nations that don’t have 14.0 rn (China, Russia, Sweden) need to be added soon.
J-10C will be a great competitor to the current 4.5s.
The J-10B is a great upgrade over the A with a massive avionics and airframe upgrade but I fear without the better thrust it won’t be enough to BFM the current 4.5s.
J-10B does have AL-31FN Series 3, with more thrust than the original AL-31FN on J-10A.
(134KN vs 124KN)
J-10C will be more competitive, its WS-10B engine with even more thrust than that.
(140-144KN)
Gripen E will be an upgrade in both thrust-to-weight ratio with better engine, and most notably avionics.
For Russia something like SU-30SM would fit the bill pretty well.
Let me get this straight, you want to remove IR ones from Su-34 ?
At that point Su-34 would have the following:
- 6x Laser + IOG missiles
- 2x R-77 + 2x R-73
- Can cosplay as a flying bus
EFT has the following:
- 12x Laser + IOG missiles
- 6x AIM-120B + 2x AIM-9M
- UFO FM
Do you even want any resemblance of balance in this game or just latch onto any advantage RU has ?
You do know that Brimstones have about 10km range at the moment, whilst the KH-38s are like 40?
The reasoning given to why Brimstones cant be FnF can be applied to KH-38s nearly word for word.
Its actually probably underperforming, so…
The IOG on the KH-38 has 0 spread and will nail the target with pinpoint accuracy, the IOG on the Brimstone will always miss the target unless you get lucky.
No it can’t.
Still amazing when compared to Su-34, which is all that matters.
That’s why you manually guide it few seconds before impact.
And this is why you’ll have twice the amount.
Removing IR missiles from Su-34 just because muh Brimstones would kill any balance regarding top tier aircraft.
Can be fired beyond the range of any SPAA. Check.
Ignores smoke. Check
Hey, if several nations should be handicapped to not have FnF, then all nations should. Given the soviets have the only top tier SPAA as well, They should never have gotten KH-38s.
FTFY.
Still missing about ~5 deg/s ITR and around the same in STR pull. Once fixed there’ll be nothing that will be able to dogfight it… until the F-22.
:)
