So why arent ALL mechanical radars equally limited? Foxhunter has easily double the current scan rate of Blue Vixen. Many other radars also have greater scan rates to that of Blue Vixen.

Could also have to do with bar height for the radar. Ive got some unfortunately unreportable estimates that the bar heights are too low. If CAPTOR-M increased the amount of area it was scanning, that could possibly justify why it would need a longer dwell time as well.
Im still dubious personally that it is the exact same scan rate as Blue Vixen and not even slightly faster.

It might be based upon Blue Vixen, but a large amount of it was replaced/upgraded.
OK if its going to have the radar of the 13.0 Sea Harrier, then drop the BR of the Typhoon
or yano… buff the radar with common sense and game balance in mind?
(lowering the typhoon br is obviously a stupid idea - but leaving the Captor as it currently is, is also extremely stupid)

We absolutely haven’t said CAPTOR will be left as it is currently. There are numerous reports under investigation for its performance and also some other internal corrections.

I found a highly annoying bug affecting EF and all VR players that causes targets to display incorrectly on the HUD. I have already created a bug report, can we push the issue forward? Because as I see from several other bugs concerning VR developers, to say the least they ignore / are unable to fix bugs concerning VR players . Community Bug Reporting System
Force guys working on radars to fix this and you will be left alone with constant questionstions why captor is absolute POS that wouldnt have been accepted into service even in 80s… let alone 2000s
If its really changing one word… its INSANE. And breaking all air radars just to fix bunch of SPAAS is nuts aswell. Given most SPAAs can guide missiles without radars but planes at top tier in fact CANT.

CAESAR should only be our final backup option if CAPTOR is not fixed by the end of Jan, but hopefully before devs go on holiday.
But it has properly ruined the aircraft that its radar is not good.

What makes you think they are going to model CAPTOR-E properly if they can’t get CAPTOR-M right?
Even if they model it badly, they added the feature where air ESA rada update TWS targets very frequently, so that is something.
And I may or may not have seen some numbers about the AESA.
