It’s a shame that no one except the developers knows this.
- war thunder aircraft are always in combat configuration
- what does this even have to do with adding 5th gen aam to 1 airplane before everyone else gets theirs
am i talking about the IRST no?
but the armor in fact does make a difference, i did not say 2a7v is bad thats your whole hallucination working once again, dont make me embarras you again like last time, cause your whole takes are wrong
Proved that more then once
It not only doesn’t make it bad, it makes in probably 99% of the playtime absolutely no difference.
Is the presence of CLDP on Italian Tornado IDS instead of Litening 2, such as on German one considered similar key difference?

Does the lack of Pirate make the Typhoon bad? No [/quote]
That remains to be seen and I already have a hunch.
Not really.
Eg: 109F/G early varians’ pilots commonly removed armor plating on the seat, to improve rear visibility.
We don’t get that in WT.
no they are not the same, because PIRATE isnt an essential part of the kit and is easily replaced trough the radar. While the armor is one of the bitggest matter of a tank which cant be replaced trough different aspects.
You seriously once again have no clue at all
The reaction the German players have is the same, that’s the point neither vehicle is suffering because of the omission of these systems.
before or after conformal fuel tanks ?
Given the Pic was from 2018 (though only a mock-up cant find any other sources for it at the moment) Im going to say before.
Was looking to see if hte Typhoon ever made use of a “ferry tank” like the Hindenburg tanks on the Tornado.
I’ve used it once to covertly shadow a target in Sim. Given its extremely limited implementation at the moment, its rarely of use.
field modification is not same as intended combat configuration, and its only 1 extremely specific example with little impact on gameplay
From what I have seen all having the IRST has done is make the Italian and British Typhoons perform poorly from day 1
Eh… I’ve yet to have any negative impact from it, except the wierdness with the radar INS Tracking time thing we had because of it.
But its just such a niche tool to use at the moment. Maybe when you can fire an AMRAAM with an IRST lock, it will be far more useful
More an if rather than when at the moment, do not see that feature coming anytime soon
Its one of the few PIRATE features that I could see coming sooner rather than later. Things like the 200 target TWS mode for it on the other hand… Yeah, probably never gunna happen
That’s what I’m talking about. There are no rules. Developers do what they want. When half of the vehicles in the game is simply copypasted. It’s just funny to play such principled with EFT. Wait, but they will have different camouflages - that’s the difference!
Yeah, atm, but at some point the Meteor will get in the game and it doesn’t need to run in proportional guidance, so it’s gonna get guided by PIRATE and then, it’s gonna get ugly when ppl start exploding without warning.
You know what’s field modification and intended combat configuration?
You have 31 air kills in SB. Get real…
Dont need METEOR for that

But, no IFF and the lack of things like the TWS mode for the PIRATE, limits how easy it is to actually lock onto targets. Typically I hard lock with the radar and then swap to IR lock.
its also extremely limited on range, and often has to be used within 30km, so its not that great.
You will still get RWR pings though from the missile itself when it goes active and I doubt that will change even if METEORs get added.
