It just gives an error
ah, yeah their weird system i still got access trough since i submitted it
tldr i submited aim9m for germany already
Was it accepted?
Smin said it was ‘under consideration’ but this was 4 days ago
not accepted
Remember that the real reason isn’t that it’s inaccurate or that it’s bad for balance. It’s just that gaijin does whatever it wants often times to deliberately screw certain nations or vehicles over using half baked double standards they cross less than a week later.
This is exactly the case
That’s petty much how Brimstone SAL works in real life. It IOG’s itself to the general area and then uses laser for terminal guidance.
I really want to take a friend on a Eurofighter and fly off alone to the left and I to the right and just scare Pancir S1 with a misunderstanding of where someone is now. Two Eurofighters could easily close all the air defenses of the enemy in War Thunder
Gonna take some practice getting the timing right but hopefully ill be able to use them for battlefield clears and convoys in sim air.
The GBU-39’s are the current kings of battlefield clears and convoy clears are a bit more complex due to the vehicle counts and tremendously poor implementation by WT (driving on random sides of mountains, clipping through the ground, driving underwater instead of taking a bridge, etc… so we’ll see how these work in those roles.
If the EFT gets the GBU-31’s as it should, it should prove itself to be a pretty versatile aircraft in sim with some luck.
Tho to use “optimal” multirole loads, you’ll have to leave the bags, limiting your sortie time, and the more Ive thought about it, the less “optimal” loads make sense in sim air due to how harshly gaijin punishes you for playing well in sim.
86% reward of your max per sortie at 600 score, 92% at 1050+ points, 20% additional score locked behind landing, if you fly an “optimal” loadout on a multirole jet, you end up clearing 1000 score in 5-10min and then lose out on RP/SL for the next 5 minutes. Additional game actions will also lead to the game ending sooner, which further cuts into your max allowable reward…
Brimstone (1) - MMW only - Opaque, tan-coloured radome on the nose
Brimstone DMS (Dual-Mode Seeker) - Brimstone 1 with added SAL mode - the version we have ingame so far - Transparent window on the nose signifying the the SAL seeker. Was only in service as an interim capability for Tornado. Brimstone 2 was in service by the time Eurofighter integrated Brimstone
Brimstone 2 - Dual-Mode missile with IM-compliant motor (visually it has a LE brown band at the rear instead of HE yellow), extended range by motor impulse and burn characteristics - The version that is in current operational service with Eurofighter Typhoon in the RAF
Brimstone 3 - Extended battery operating time to make the most of the new motor, new Inertial Measuring Unit and improved computing memory and processing, multi-effect warhead (delayed, airburst, impact, and proximity fuzing) with improved fragmentation.
Most Brimstone 3 enhancements were initially for the sake of low-and slow launches from surface platforms or helicopters - Sea Spear and Future Attack Helicopter Weapon (FAHW) sub-variants of Brimstone, and have been rolled in to one for Brimstone 3.
The lack of convoy annihiliation (and subsequent revenge) is the one thing that im most annoyed about when it comes to the current implementation of Brimstones
thats most likely due to test drive and test server, i bet it will be same crap after patch as its now
I would rather like an analogue of GBU-39/B
This is the best thing for the easiest air defense sweep in the ASB
It’s like your first day in the game.
I dont touch air defences on peoples bases. I think the people who airfield camp in sim are scum, particularly those who abuse GBU-39 to clear airfields of their defences because gaijin isnt smart enough to think of the consequemces of their implementation.
The GBU-31’s I want are because two can be used in conjunction with two 1000lbs GPS bombs to kill a base from ~30km away while not impeeding my air to air load whatsoever.
Bomb target clearing is tremendously important for winning matches in sim, and many aircrafts are highly efficient at it. EFT’s current lack of GBU-31’s makes it inefficient and unflexable, as it requires the sacrifice of 2 AMRAAM’s or direct dumb bombing to kill a single base.
In compairison:
- The F-15C can 3 bases with full air to air load and a bag on the belly
- F-15E can kill 1 base from ~30km with full air to air load but no bags
- F-16C can kill 2 bases with full air to air and 1 bag or 4 bases at the expense of 2 AAM’s
- Su-27SM can kill 2-4 bases by sacrificing 2-6 AAM’s and has a large enough internal fuel load to not need bags
- Su-34 can kill 3 bases from standoff distances (tho sacrifices most of its air to air load to do so) or 1 base from standoff distance with no sacrifice in air to air load. (Its a bomber though so should be focused on doing bombing/strike roles in sim as many of REDFORs planes are lackluster on objective clearing efficiency)
Either that, or they need to add some kind of precision hit mechanic to bases to make GBUs more effective, though that would just further increase the power of everything else as well.
(also when we get JP233s and MW-1, gunna need to SEAD airfields somehow :P)
