I just opened the dev and a 1.5gb patch is downloading (last time I played was like 1h ago)
We have directly confirmed with the Italian MOD these are available illegally.
So you can say whatever you like about what you think about them at this point, it won’t move the needle one bit. You cannot use these documents for reporting and you cannot post them.
Disagreeing with that is just disagreeing with moderation now which is also against the rules.
All engines are calculated on a stand with a standard loss coefficient of 0.97-0.98 when installed in an aircraft, this loss coefficient reaches 0.89-0.9
Okay, and I didnt’t public on forum.
weird how its on the front page of google. should be taken down then
Eurofighter thrust was reduced, top speed at 36k feet is currently ~1.28-1.29 mach in-game without afterburner. This is a bit low, the top supercruise speed should be about 1.5 mach and efficient range lower at 1.3 mach.
It should
Sorry, Im confused. I thiught you were arguing that it should have been reduced?
isn’t that an increase from before? it would just supercruise only at mach 1
It is an increase, but it is not yet correct. We will work on it.
Read more carefully then.
It was just a question. Jeez
When you are uploading Pictures you have to wait an moment… because it was not finished aka we cant see it
Its wings blew of at 1500kmh exactly on the deck
yes, at mach 2, what is it now?
People over-estimated the supercruise capabilities of the Eurofighter. I contested this with facts and was heckled for it. The people who rebuked what I had to say with legitimate information had showed me that it indeed can supercruise but nothing has pointed towards a high supercruise speed (1.6+ mach), and certainly not towards the efficient range being much above mach 1. I think 1.3 mach efficient range is a upper estimate and that the absolute maximum top speed before it stops accelerating is possibly up to 1.5 mach as the documentation suggests.
By contrast, an aircraft tailored towards supercruise performance was the F-22 which can easily cruise up to 1.6 mach on dry thrust as fast as the F-15 (likely an earlier model like the C) could on afterburner. Then they would relax the throttles back to stay there. The Eurofighter should also be able to get up to 1.5 mach but this is the fastest it can go on max dry thrust.
Thrust drops off after mach 2, which is sensible. The document someone provided earlier claiming absurd thrust and drops off only after 2.2 was… well, absurd. I think the thrust looks accurate now, more so than before… but the drag may be too high still.
