Right now tanks don’t have an realistic EC mode at all. Air Simulator has it, Naval gets it as events, but Ground is limited to short matches on small maps. At top tier especially, it feels wrong: modern SAMs, long-range MBTs and ATGMs are being crammed into 2×2 km boxes where everything is over in five minutes.
What Ground EC could look like:
Big maps — 4–6 times larger than current RB maps. Rolling terrain, multiple routes, long sightlines for MBTs and cover for flanking.
Dynamic objectives — not just three caps. Think forward bases, supply convoys, depots you can raid, or temporary spawn zones that shift as the frontline moves.
Logistics — teams could build/hold limited forward operating bases (FOBs). Lose your supply node, and your frontline spawns weaken. Light vehicles or convoys could become valid targets.
Respawns — instead of infinite slot-hopping, limit high-tier vehicles to shared team tickets. That way decisions matter: do you bring another MBT, or save tickets for CAS or SAMs?
Air & SAM integration — CAS and helicopters have real roles because maps are big enough for them to maneuver, while SAMs and SPAA matter because air threats won’t just spawn camp.
This wouldn’t replace RB. It would be its own queue, the same way Air EC runs separately from Air RB. Matches could last 30–120 minutes instead of 5–15, giving players who want more tactical, large-scale battles a mode designed for it.
Why it matters:
Modern vehicles finally get space to perform the way they were designed.
IRIS-T, Buks, Brimstones, long-range ATGMs all feel wasted on tiny maps.
Ground EC would give us a mode that feels closer to real combined arms, not just “rush B and trade spawns.”
No, nobody is gonna see that the option for an entirely new game mode in this menu, it should be in events and tournaments like Air Sim is with a server list and actual BR bracket rotation.
somethings i would like to see is also a standardized map size so it can have an EC style mode for low tiers aswell for WW2 stuff, so if we take like largest map size currently in GRB which is 4km we scale that by x amount depending on rank/br
If you could capture dynamic spawn points, than you could capture those with light or medium tanks, and then spawn in a heavy closer to the battlefield, that’d be an interesting way to do it I think
Would love to see very large maps become a thing, especially with as another person proposed that it would span for all BR, but with different map sizes.
Sadly, I think it would not be very popular with the majority current player base, since a lot of players want instant close quarter action. Examples being A cap on Advance to the Rhine, C cap on Abandoned Factory or people complaining on getting large maps such as European Province at around BR 6.7.
In my opinion as someone who only plays at 8.7 or under, I feel the game is more enjoyable, when there is the long engagement ranges (over 1km), where you have to use skill to estimate the ranges, and the lead on moving targets.
I think there was some sort of game mode Passed to Devs that would work with Enduring Confrontation or some parts of it. New game mode for Mixed Realistic Battles - Frontline
Though you would have to deal with people leaving and getting new people to take there place so it could work.
But the points in this would be fun to see. A mountain map would be fun with players crawling all over it for this time of game mode.
