It’s unfair for bombers/strike aircraft that don’t have access to napalm and have to resort to heavier and draggier bomb loadouts, while 2 small napalm bombs are enough to destroy a base.
Also, every napalm bomb does the same damage which is ridiculous. The 135kg napalm bomb on the chinese Q-5/A-5 does the same amount of damage as a 374kg one from the soviets or the 401kg one from nato.
Increasing base targets or making them respawn instantly in another place when one is destroyed would also work, and would fix a bunch of problems at once.
The best thing is that the Japanese were the only ones who did not get their own incendiary bombs, even though they had some in service during WW2. And the incendiary bombs in the F-15J and F-15J(M) are historically incorrect because the JASDF never purchased them
In fact, traditional bombs capable of destroying base can also earn high enough points when used to attack tanks.
Try changing the way, obtaining scores doesn’t necessarily have to rely on destroying the base. (And stealing unarmored ground targets outside the combat zone. )
The only thing to note is not to turn back immediately. You probably didn’t have the good intentions to use your physical body to help your teammates who successfully destroyed the base intercept the missile, did you?
This is a suggestion that can at least give you some food to eat when you’re not fast enough.
This is wrong, I mean, if you could hit every single target with a small and light bomb it could work, but you have to account for the time you lose trying to do so and on top of that, you will be very exposed, while bombing a base is easy and nets you the rewards immediately and reliably.
If your plane can carry some mavericks without sacrificing missile pilons like the harrier gr7 for example, or the F-16A with aim9-L only at 12.7 that can trade 2 missiles for 6 mavericks, by all means go for it. Because those are fire and forget and you spam them all early into a group of stationary tanks.
Overall, bombing bases is faster, easier, safer and more reliable.
The only “advantage” for ground pounding that still is irrelevant 99% of the time on high tiers is that farming ground units bleed more tickets.
But I think gaijin should increase the rewards for killing tanks, pillboxes, etc. At least the harder to destroy units should provide more rewards. There’s no point in farming them unless your team is hunting for the last survivor and you got nothing better to do.
Napalm base damage was fine (for the most part) before they literally doubled it. Rocket base bombing was more balanced than a Q-5 with 4 tiny napalm bombs being able to take 2 whole bases.
If you had to bring 4 napalm bombs to kill a base it would be more balanced against conventional bomb loadouts.
Stop asking for band-aid solutions to the bomber problem and start advocating for REAL solutions regarding GAME MODE changes so we are not fighting over 4 bases with 16 people.
I wish, but I don’t have faith in that. How long has the game been stuck with the same gamemodes? The community has asked multiple times and nothing came to fruition
Perhaps. They did change them and nerfed rocket damage. They could adjust that again I hope. Changing a bunch of values in a file is far easier than implementing a whole game mode which they haven’t done since forever.
We may see similar games sooner than Gaijin bothering to add the new RB EC mode idea
