Easy Fix for Spawn Camping

This particular map has that road next to A like below level ground so its extremely easy to rush flank.
My main point is, Cloudy’s case is not the exact same as it’s due to team skill issue and map design. It’s a known fact that spawn camping is more common when playing against the BMPT.

See what i mean guys? tried one top tier battle and i got the luck that we actually got a big map actually designed for tanks and its being interesting and enjoyable no spawncamping, no bullshit, people play as intended and the battle keeps going.

We should get more big maps instead of the braindead small ones

Yeah, and the edge of the lake where those guys went too.
I think the issue is that the map design is still largely based around WW2 tanks, where there is only a few really fast flankers like the M-18 and the German SD KFZ.
Modern MBTs on these small maps don’t really give you time to react to flanking maneuvers the same way as a WW2 ranks.
Of course your team being completely tunnel visioned and oblivious to it even happening dose not help at any BR

We are pushing for this. For now just ban the small maps.

Gaijin’s been focused on new vehicles so we haven’t gotten any new maps. Just redesign of old ones.

I also like to visit enemy spawns because it has become a target rich zone bro the losing team will keep spawning SPAAs, and I am spading my vehicles so I need more food bro

we dont get enough bans and they said on the las QA they dont want to increase this! the battles stills going and i can say its fucking awesome to play on an actual map for tanks, people take shoots and take cover and repair, people help each other, it actually feels like a tank game

yeah, it’s the same in air, just keep releasing the new thing, but never do the work to make playing new thing enjoyable.

they said on the last QA they dont want to increase bans and basically they said they wont make big maps, etc because they prefer the small shitty ones just because QUEUE times and all that bullshit which brings a miserable experience to the player, that QA video had a lot of backlash but still nothing happened

yeah, the old “we know better then the players what the players want” attitude.

Based on community sentiment, most players prefer larger maps. However, the truth is often dictated by complexity. The forums, the subreddit, and other discussion spaces aren’t representative of the entire population. There’s likely a significant bias towards experienced players, and sentiment in support of change, since few people start discussions to tell everyone what they like about the game.

The underrepresented section of the playerbase are disproportionately likely to be inexperienced, premium vehicle users, or people who play less often. Naturally, they would prefer smaller maps. Respectively, they haven’t gotten bored of smaller maps yet, want to grind RP and SL as fast as possible, and have time limitations.

The discord between these two groups of players isn’t obvious to many. Most importantly, the second group I described outnumber the first, by a lot. Their thoughts are reflected in their votes on maps (in the map voting interface), with many banning/disliking large maps and liking small maps. We don’t have the data on that, so we can only speculate. But Gaijin does have the data, so they can be said to have a better knowledge of players preferences (unless they are lying about the stats to push an agenda).

True bro different players like different things. I already RTH on maps I don’t like to play. There are also large maps I do not like, mainly top tier Fulda and that stupid Fire Arc or something. Maybe they should remove the limit of how many maps a player could ban and remove crew lock so there is always enough players in the queue.

Yeah, ideally there should be a variety of maps of different sizes and play styles to cater for different tastes. the issue is the very few large maps are largely completely flat with very little cover.
Which is extra bad for new players with low crew skills given the “keen vision” skill means that they can be staring at an enemy tank and it will not even render for them, mean while it, with it’s aced crew, can see them just fine.

no we had that before, it was terrible. People just camp in spawn all game and you cannot remove them unless you CAS them. Better idea, you don’t want to be spawn camped, don’t let the enemy team spawn camp you. Novel thought I know.

then stop them? The reason the game “devolves” into spawn camping is because once the game is over what else are you supposed to do? Im not going to wait for you to retake map control, im going to camp you in the spawn until you leave the game. Plenty of nations have fast tanks that can push the spawn early, you could do it too but I have a suspicion that you are one of those “moralizer” players and if thats the case. AHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAH.

Broader point, russia is extremely annoying to play agaisnt, but not because they rush the spawn. Mainly the mi28nm and literally every single russian player having a free pantisr. Its just not fun to play agaisnt because of those 2 things.

this is just completely untrue, gaijin has explicitly said in the past that most players prefer the smaller maps. The only people that want larger maps are bad players, simple as. This is so obvious if you play for any length of time, the huge maps are almost never in rotation. Reason? Because most people have those maps banned.

in quite a l lot of my 10.7 matches, the BS magical wonder machines will drive straight to spawn and just sit there.

So there aren’t really a problem if you ask Gaijin.

Them taking likes/dislikes is a pretty flawed way of doing their “research” on if people love smaller or larger maps.
I can like a map because it’s good to play on, not because it’s small or big.

It more goes to show that Gaijin sucks at making big maps, but to some people (like Gaijin) it’s never their fault.

After we saw the dev telling us players we are wrong and know nothing, ANYTHING Gaijins says can’t be taken serious.
