Is it possible for Germany to receive the T55 and T55A in the future since the East German army had a large amount of T55s during the Cold War and was the main battle tank along with the T72.

Would add a vehicle to Germany with some decent armor for 8.x so yeah why not, though id rather see the T55 up armored models be added over the standard T55 for Germany

From October 1967 to 1970 the NVA received a total of 333 T-55A and T-55A(P) MBTs to strengthen their now rather weak fleet of T-54-51 and T-54A tanks. The T-55As were delivered by Czechoslovakia, while the T-55A(P)s were delivered by Poland. The destinction between the two was, firstly of course, the (P) designation, standing for Poland and the Polish T-55A also had a hydraulical steering-aid mechanism, which however would probably not impact the tanks performance in War Thunder, since the…

In 1978 the T-72 was introduced into the NVA as their new MBT, which, even if it was an export-model of the T-72 Ural, was vastly superior to the until now, best MBT the NVA could muster, the T-55AM. The T-55AM on it’s own was a modernisation of the by now obsolete T-55A, however, that wasn’t enough and the GDR was quick to order a new modernisation-program for the T-55AMs. This was done out of two major reasons, first, upgrading existing tanks is cheaper and easier to acomplish, …

The T-54AMZ is a tank modernised by East Germany during the years of 1967 to 1970 as a result of order-number 57/67, which was given out from the minestry of national defense as part of the modernisation and standardisation program, that aimed to standardise equipment and armament of all T-54 and T-55 MBTs used by the NVA. The order also commanded an increase in overall combat-effectiveness, in form of night-firing capabilities.
This order included both the T-54 and T-55, …

The T-54A used by East Germany was licence built in Poland and exported to the GDR for a unit-price of 433.376 German D-Mark (253.502 Dollars). Between 1959 to 1961 the GDR bought and received a total of 148 T-54As from Poland. The T-54A was primarely armed with the 100mm D-10TG L/56 tank-cannon.
The biggest difference of the T-54A to the standard T-54 was the STP-1 “Horizont” vertical stabilizer, which stabilized the cannon and coaxial MG when driving, to reduce the up- and down movem…
