I’ve been playing the TO-55 recently and have noticed that… it’s completely useless. It’s all around a good tank but as a tank at 8.0 it’s armor is worthless and constant encounters with leopard means that even in full downtiers I still can’t escape being one shot.
my easy solution is that tanks without apfsds can’t go over 7.7 (with exceptions ofc)
note I just found out the TO-55 has heatfs, however I still think it belongs in 7.7
it does not
it has no reason to fight against ww2 tanks in a full downtier when it has APDS and HEATFS
and there is even less reason for it to be at a lower BR than the T-54 (1949) which gets the same rounds
and there is even less reson for it to be at the same BR as the T-54 (1947) which dosent even APDS or HEATFS
leopards are glas cannons you can one shot them just as easily
and the one at 8.0 dosent have a stabilizer
Bruh, if anything this thing could have moved to 8.3 to his TT brother. You get better mobility AND two-plane stabilizer that is a necessity starting from those BRs. Idk how it can still be at 8.0 while its predecessor, T-54, is at the same BR but without those crucial upgardes.
More seriously: if you’re struggling against leopard 1s in a downtier that’s kinda just a skill issue, the T0-55 has both APHE and a stab over the unstablised Leopard 1s. + the Leo 1 and 1A2 don’t get APFSDS. Just APDS
I’m speak about the amout of leopards sure a 1v1 is fine but when I’m reloading I have no way to defend myself and another leopard just goes through all my armor
I’m a casual player, I feel like ya’ll who has tons of skill start to rate tanks based on how fun they are and mixing that up with how actually good they are like the TO55 is a ton of fun, just as a casual who doesn’t get a nuke every game might just see it differently, eh I’m maybe a little extreme here but you get my point
Also I’d like to note I’ve just started playing 8.0, I have played toptier for a long time with no brakes so I am a bit used to the both one shot each other
okay hold on I’m kinda siding with you guys now, on second thought.
I think they set it there because the ready rack is much smaller than the regular T-55 due to the flamethrower fuel. Is it that much worse? I think not but I don’t pick the BRs.
Yeah, but then it’s like… why play British 8.0 when you can play 8.3, that’s why I never use the Mk.1.
As for TO-55, as it has been causing people using DX-12 to crash out of the game when the flamethrower is dispensed, it might be the best by ridding people from battle without even physically destroying their vehicle. Only downside is you cause people on your own team to be removed from the battle, also.
I mean yeag, but we were talking the best 8.0, yo do kinda have to ignore the 7.7-9.3 compression for that. They really do need to do some decompression there imo.
(I mean going from 20pdrs to LRFs and 105 APFSDS in two br steps is a little crazy)
