You want to replace a 4.0 with, at best, a 3.3 vehicle? (3.7 possibly if it had postwar/experimental shells like APDS and HESH) I struggle to see that being a good replacement
Heck, the guns are different too, with one being a 155mm gun and the 25-pdr being a 87.6 mm.
I want the Sextons badly as it’s a domestic Canadian vehicle, but they very clearly won’t fill the same gap. Much like the heavy BR difference between the M109A1 and the AS-90.
So far, the only SPH that looks to fill the same gap(end up at the same BR) is the Hummal, which is really powerful, and looks like it’s going to go up a BR, but even then, could end up even higher.
It erodes tech trees uniqueness. Thats all it does. It is simple for you guys to add meanwhile national designs exist that serve the same purpose. Ex. M55 when hummel exists.

Since i read a bit got some infos and came to the stats around ~6.1-7% Of Worldwide Countries got an own Modern Fighter Jet (Like Eurofighter F-16 etc) and from also ~6.6-7.1% Got an own modern MBT (Like Leo 2, Abrams, T-80 etc) plus ~80% Of ever Produced Leopard 2 tanks were Exports. So i think its safe to say that many Many countries use the same Weapon Systems / Vehicles.
I get the Point of People Complaining but i think its like a common Human thing always be mad at something or complain about it for whatever reason.
Sure im not 100% Happy with some decisions aswell but i got to accept it. Its unfortunate but thats how the world works.

But when are you planning to lower the copy paste research and sl costs ? And I mean a real “LOWER” at least reduce it like 50% on both vehicle and modifications, having to grind the same vehicle for all of the nations its not fun especially in the later tiers.
Yeah reasoning of “real life country may have a set of interesting vehicles but not enough to form their own independent research tree.” I’m not buying
there are mountains of unique vehicles still to be added to tech tree to fill them before having to resort to copypaste

There needs to be another way of ‘forming lineups’. Maybe of allied nations. Maybe some different system for minor nations. Etc. There needs to be radical brainstorm sessions how to do it BETTER
In my opinion it would be that a vehicle should always be researched in the tree of the country it was developed in (so the F-16 needs to be developed in the US tree, the Leopard in the German tree, etc). And then maybe for minor countries you can ‘buy’ or ‘develop’ these vehicles then in another specific way to add them to your lineups, or something.
BUT:
France = Mirage
USA = F-16
Germany = Leopard
THAT SHOULD BE NON-NEGOTIABLE
Sure, there may be some way to add a Dutch F-16 / Leopard2, maybe just as skinns, some minor-nation mechanic, or whatever. But fundamentally these vehicles BELONG to their home-country.
The way it’s currently is UTTERLY STUPID
The fact that france would have issues forming ‘line-up’ or have ‘gaps’ needs to be solved with GAME-MODES, btw. You need to fight side-by-side with allied nations where each nation does its role, etc.
Also, ‘captured’ (USA Bf-109), or out-of-tree (Mig-21 in NATO with the UK/Indian premium?!?) needs to be completely removed. Just for the sake of SIM
TLDR: MUCH smaller trees!!! With unique vehicles!!! New game-modes with respawns and much longer games with actual objectives where vehicles have much more purpose. BR based on load-out. Etc etc etc.
Basically, the whole gameplay loop needs to be revised.
THIS! I don’t care if it’s a copy paste added purely for the grind. My issue is unbalanced or adding a str8 up better vehicle than the Tech tree variant. And I love the reasoning “'oh but it’s worse than the Su-27SM so it can’t be at the same br” alr then move the F-16C down to 13.3 cuz it’s worse than the Sufa and it has less missiles then the Su-30 premium in 13.3… Their balancing is just a mess and they don’t even adress it. Gaijin has to do better. Starting with an honest to heart “sorry”.
Exactly, who cares about exports. If that was the case all trees would be the same because every tank has been tested in another nation even if only once.
Tbh I’m surprised no brought up the Senrai Maidens premiums as well as that also contradict this post as well those should be sold as skins not as whole new vehicles
My ONLY request is make singapore a sub tech tree for Israel, if japan can get Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand why not Israel get Greece, Cyprus AND singapore. Australia had their tanks in uk recently too. Maybe if we even go a bit further singapore can replace Cyprus (sorry that anyone who live there) but that country have absolutely no unique vehicle (or let alone any aircraft) and it will just be filled by copy paste Soviet slop, Singapore can be that perfect replacement
