Duplicate Vehicles: Why We Add Them

Just admit you assumed wrong and move on. I don’t know why you keep trying to make a stance that I am in the wrong when I am not. You assumed, I didn’t know, tried to correct me, and I decided to inform you that I was already aware of this for quite a long time; if I wasn’t i wouldn’t have responded.

I didn’t assume you were wrong, I just wanted to say that I was talking about a different thing from you here. I meant a completed German Panther II replacing the removed tank, something that would count as “unfinished prototype” in the German techtree. This had nothing to do with the later American modification that wasn’t part of Panther II development and because of that doesn’t invalidate the unfinished prototype (at least by suggestion guidelines).

Also please don’t assume people are against you. This is a forum about military vehicles that I write on for fun. I’m not here to argue, I’m just writing about things I’m interested in for a game I like to play, same as you and everyone else.

Maus, I’ve chatted with too many WT players on the forum, players who held pitchforks; unfortunately, that means over time I hold a Kukri on standby. When I interact with everyone on the WT forums.

Fair enough. Anyways it was nice learning the “Panther II/G” was functional, so thanks for that. o7

If Gajin theoretically introduced a tree that’s just all nations not currently a tree/subtree, do you think Gajin would try to put unique stuff or go full copy paste?

  • Majority unique (at least a little different to existing vehicles)
  • Majority copy paste
  • 100% copy paste

Two years ago I would have guessed that the Premiums would likely be new unique vehicles domestic to that Tree

But the Leopard2a4 OtCo and F-16AM “French” premiums have disabused me of that notion

Np.

All of the above.

The can is already open. Again, when they changed the 341 the whole BR bracked where you could fight it was unplayable because everyone and their mother was spamming the thing.

You contradict yourself by saying it “should be left untouched”, but seem perfectly okay with Gaijin adding an ammo belt for being more accurate. For what reason? If the tank never existed as is and warranted a removal, there’s absolutely NO reason to give it a different ammo type. You either remove the vehicle and be done with it, or you change things like its a regular old vehicle in the game. Can’t have both.

The vehicle was removed because no unique part of it was actually built, only a mockup turret was put on a normal Panther hull. So with that it’s not enough to count as unfinished prototype like the Yak-141 (which would need parts built that are unique to it, or the Panther hull modified for example).

But just because it doesn’t meet the general limits of what Gaijin want in the game anymore doesn’t mean it wasn’t real. It’s still a very real project, so if something isn’t accurate to the real project it can be bug reported and fixed.
If they just made it up I could see why they shouldn’t touch it anymore, but as soon as there’s real history behind it I think they should still try their best to get it right. Especially when other games tend to change paper projects as they see fit leading to unfortunate misconceptions about them.

Well, that was obvious

Untouched as unobtainaium not making the tank more real again like the 341

Please let me known when we have a tank with the same guns as flakpanzer 341… Yes they should make it more realistic even if you can’t get it

We’ve commented 1344 times but we haven’t got any kind of feedback

“Sukhoi to US and F-5 to USSR”
“Thailand and BeNeLux now brings X plane”
“Our players loved our additions” (10 nuke farmers needing more vehicles for the lineup)
Type of “feedback” we’ll recieve

Yep

Still scratching my head as to what capability gap most everything in the BeNeLux subtree actually addresses that can’t be domestically addressed by French designs aside from (so far in the game) AH-64E.

i anit no nuke farmer and i want more vehicles for my line ups because i do not leave after 1 death

still waiting on MKI i don’t care what others think

random question, are you Greek?

Is that atleast in low tier both dutch and belgian designs should have been added, but we just recieved the Fokker Mercury at launch, fokker D-XXI came later and Fokker D-XXIII came later.
And there are many aircraft left from fokker, even production ones like the Fokker T.V, Fokker T.IX, Fokker T.VIII (low tier torpedo bomber which France doesn’t see in the TT until 3.3), Fokker S.14.1 «L-1» Machtrainer (an early jet), etc and piles of etc.

And I didn’t mention Koolhoven yet, with stuff like the Koolhoven F.K.58

SABCA comes with Belgium, aircraft like the multiple Italian license built bombers and even multi-role like the SABCA S.47, or simply Alfred Renard with monoplane fullmetal prototypes like Renard R.36 and family or simply the R.31 which did see serious production runs.

This is only the air tree mind you, the launch and current state of BeNeLux is a complete shame, a launch could be justified but the current state? hell no.

Even if BVV_d said “those ranks are filled up” on the Q&A you can still see lackluster low tiers
France is one of those, just carry on with Moranes and Fokkers and some h-75.

WT is an incredible discovery tool, there’s no reason to “deny” more obscure aircraft.

how many of you knew about the VB.10s before WT? What about the VM-23 or DB-LK?

You could add piles upon piles of these for tech tree, but instead is just “export aircraft number 48”, Sub trees don’t even come with skins to unlock, Thailand used Ki-27s and Ki-21s but you don’t know because the only WW2 aircraft they have is a SB2C copypasted from France, even down to the literal roundel on the name.

Sub-Trees are currently just rushed explanations for Warsaw stuff on NATO, NATO stuff on Warsaw, Axis stuff on allies and Allied stuff on axis.

Would be nice to get Thai camos for these. The Ki-43-II too, there’s already a marketplace camo for that, but on the wrong variant.

They could also add some other WWII aircraft from Thailand, their Hawk 75N or NA-68, or even some Thai operated Japanese aircraft we just don’t have yet like the Ki-30 or Ki-55. They could also add the Thai Toyo FD-25B Defender, which is currently the only post-WWII combat aircraft exported by Japan.
