Duplicate Vehicles: Why We Add Them

At least give us a rp boost for having the exact same vehicle but in another tree

… That does not make it a joint developed lmao with that logic the Abrams is German because it uses the l44

Also again not jointly developed. Just requesting differences

Because they are the manufacturers of the turret system. That’s all lmao

The F-15EX Eagle II isn’t coming to the game anytime soon. Gaijin will definitely want to release it together with stuff like the Su-35S and J-16. The more realistic option right now is the F-15E with an AESA radar – no extra work needed, just replace the radar on the in-game F-15E

You couldn’t be more wrong about that first part. It’s is the Dutch that are integrated with the Germans (for now, I believe they’re splitting off again).
The Belgians have relatively little cooperation with Germany and I believe our armoured divisions these days deploy under french command.

Did Rheinmetall develop a turret for the Abrams tank?

Understanding that gaijin is still a business at the end of the day that is providing us with a free high quality game, However, parts of this make little sense to me.

Semi Unique premiums I have no problem with but when these premiums are solely unique stuck behind a pay wall it becomes rather irritating. For example the RAH-66 one of the only stealth helicopters ever made probably the most unique helicopter you could get locked behind a paywall. Experimental vehicles such as the T58 I would consider to be in that sweet spot for a premium vehicle with its experimental tag and unique design its perfect.

Regarding the copy and paste top tier premiums such as the SU30s or F16s, Understandable that they can fill a void in some techtrees but I would personally have to disagree with the addition of jets as premiums at these BR. Its getting more common for high tier premiums to be added for the same price as a AAA game, I mean come on for the same price as the F-14D you can pre order GTA-6. A counter to this will be the rather frequent sales ranging from 30-50% but still are rather steep for what you get. I’m aware these models are expensive to create but in regards to the F14D I’m not a modeler nor have any experience but is it not just indentical to the F14B just with new skins and some stats changes?

Now filling gaps in techtrees, Pretty much everyone shares the same opinion about the Hunter AFV. As a frequent israeli techtree player the Hunter AFV had no reason to be added to the israeli techtree it did not fill any gap, Just another bushmaster with spikes, I mean come on israel already has 3 all at 11.3 and realistically at 10.7? What can you even pair with it, Its rather stand alone unless you use something like the Sabra MK1. Hunter AFV should have been added to Japan where it would have played a much more dedicated fitting role rather than in israel where it is infact DOA. If you really want to know what israel needs that would be some SPAAs to fill the gap between Imp Chaperell and the Spyder or even something between the Hunter AFV and the Giraf where the israeli tree actually lacks.

A bit off topic but…
Overpowered meta vehicles are taking over, We all saw it when the BMPT was added, I get it smart financial move to add a premium BMPT to the game as I’m sure that racked in alot of mulla but what an absurd introduction it had and the influence in top tier it still has. BMPT at 10.3 on arrival completely blew my mind, In a full downtier in my Namer 30 I would get shredded to peices with my ammo storage detonating instantly turning me into a 65t brick along with the totally accurate armour of the Merkavas easily being penetrated. Even at 11.3 the BMPT still dominates seen by the Russian win rate at 11.3±, A clear pattern of russian vehicles introduced to the game being absurdly overpowered is emerging, While not a premium lets go back to 2023 when the Pansir S1 was added completely breaking CAS for countries that play against russia e.g USA ect and now in 2026 with the new Pansir which I can’t see why this was ever added?, Russia has plenty of top tier SPAA to choose from, I guess the BUK wasnt good enough or something like that.

Rather long rant but you get the jist, At the end of the day like I said gaijin is still a business and needs to make a profit, However, raking in 100 odd million last year I’m sure you can splurge out a little to make some changes, Regardless I am still thankful they provide this quality of a game for free.

Also buff the rewards for Nuclear Escalation because holy waste of time.

I think one of the more interesting things about duplicate vehicles is that they can show the disparity in skill between two nations that share similar vehicles, like the F-18E and F-18F in the american and british tech trees, despite being a bit heavier the british super hornet has better stats than the american hornet. Good to think about sometimes.

Fighting russian tanks without the black voids of Kontact 5 and Relikt on the sides would actually be enjoyable. Don’t tempt me.

to my knowledge, there is still 1 large upgrade between the F-15E and the EX, as well as a more recent one giving it the EPAWSS with the first ones rolling out January of 2025

Why do you willingly use the senrai pfps 🤣

Anyway cas was not op the buk was very sufficient. Do you think having the best anti air and the best cas by far is fair?

“It’s a very cool Japanese prototype that we’d love to add to the game, but it is simply so obscure that we likely won’t be able to create it due to the lack of details surrounding it”

But the KH38MT which nobody has ever seen or the Panstir SM-SV where there is a single photo of one being used and the TKB-1055 has only ever been a mockup???

Here are some Belgian/foreign co-developed designs. I can’t wait to see them added to the Benelux subtree, as they have just as much justification for being in the Belgian tree as the Swiss vehicles do in the french, using the same argument.

Just because it was designed and intended for Anti-Air does not mean it was always used for such.
The M16 got its nickname, the “Meatgrinder,” for a reason: it was against Infantry, despite being designed to fight Airplanes. Many female tanks armed with machine guns of various types were probably not intended to directly engage tanks, as their designs demonstrated, yet they became proficient in such roles.

The Soviet GAZ-AAA (4M) and GAZ-AAA (DShK) are other 2 examples where, despite them being designed for AA duties, they still excelled at providing infantry the capability of mobile suppressive fire. Both can also function in transporting personnel and materials.

don’t forget about the M42 Duster, not to mention the lesser known one the M163 whispering death, both of these were used more on ground targets (at least the M163 was) than aircraft
