Duplicate Vehicles: Why We Add Them

Could we get also a Blog about some vehicles that were added to? Like the BMPT 72, and other high debating vehicles?

Like the F-14D Super Tomcat?

Mate just because there are some minute differences in the 3D model is completely irrelevant. The German, Dutch and Finnish Leopard 2A6 all plays the exact same, they are functionally copy paste. This is what people who play France mean when we say that if they wanted to play Leopard 2s and F-16s, they’d be playing those trees: Because the experience would be the same, or possibly even better due to more options/variants.

And even if gaijin pay some money to have a new 3D model, they still save on the man hours needed for armor/hit boxes modeling, bug fixing and balance. You’re being disingenuous in how you’re tackling the criticism.

It’s a garbage definition because what you just described is pure nonsense.

It’s not though. It perfectly reasonable for the country of origin and main user to have more variants as they are the ones developing the vehicles.

It not exactly a surprise that the US has a ton of Abrams variants because they’ve been and are still using and improving them to this day.

Britain and China though? Completely different matter. And you’ll find that most players of those two trees would rather have the indigenous MBTs of said trees be competitive instead of getting a US tank, because if they were interested in the Abrams… Well, the US tree has a lot more of them. And I’m sure US players would enjoy keeping their ground tree as unique as possible.

Let’s not forget that the reason why gaijin doesn’t have an historical matchmaker is because they think that it would be boring to fight the same vehicles every match, but their current path will have top tier consist mostly of Leo 2s, Abrams and T-80s fighting one another. And we’re getting there incredibly fast.

One fundamental question. How do you intend to encourage players to develop other tech trees given that they all offer practically the same vehicles?

Also, under what sources. It’s easy to dissmiss facts as “not enough data/info” , but under what data/info you make the changes you do?
Prime example, F90 missile. I still can’t find enough valid info other than claims, yet it took a buff in its guidance with IOG and Distance Gate. What is known is the missile is a HAWK and 54 mix. Because even the idea of just putting HAWK’s electronics in a 54 body is flawed , HAWK was a SARH, so it should have kept parts of the 54 anyway for it to be ARH.
What data exist around it? Under what data you implement it?

This is 100% the correct approach and I will never understand people who complain about copy paste premiums. In an ideal world, every premium would be copy paste, because it gives the paying player no advantage over the F2P player - other than faster SL and RP gain.

It is one thing to complain about too much copy paste in general (fair) or too many premiums in an update (also fair) but wanting unique vehicles to be paywalled is so bizarre.

British F-14 Too!

I mean if I was interested in the ROC military then I’d be interested in the M1A2T. Not “any Abrams”, but the specific tank operated by the country I want to play. Especially here where it’s a unique variant not operated by anyone else.

I am not opposed to duplicate vehicles; I am opposed to your double standards. The very fact that a purchased vehicle ends up being stronger in the buyer’s nation than in its country of origin is absurd. Take this update for example: while you are adding the Leopard 2A4RI (a German-developed tank) to Japan, why not give Germany the same? The Singaporean Leopard 2SG could easily be added to the German tree as well.

“Bla bla bla bla we just need your monet” As a player, this is how I understand your approach to us, I’ve been playing since 2014 and I’ve seen various things that made you want more money from us, for example, the economic drama. Now for a long time we can clearly see the glorification of one nation with all the machines that are OP and then you are surprised that players see it as Russian propaganda, The game should provide fun and pleasure above all, and looking at what you’ve been adding lately, the only pleasure is probably when you play with the Russian tree, because that’s what they are when it comes to Top tier ground battles have dominance in the air and on the ground, Terminator completely destroyed the balance It’s on sale now -50%, it’s amazing that knowing how much this vehicle has spoiled people’s blood, you’re giving it a sale, giving Russia another tank that they absolutely didn’t need. Because they already had the Panzer S1, which was the best anti-aircraft system in the game anyway. What does the top tier look like now when you play, for example, the USA? After 5 minutes, a helicopter with guided missiles destroys you. To make matters worse, before you even notice him, he’s already at the airport, landing another round of ammunition, then you’re destroyed by the Su-30s, which fire missiles before they even show up on the radar. But when you get into your plane or helicopter, Pantsyr destroys everything that flies towards it, one Pantsyr SM is enough to defend against everything, it was no fun for On the other hand, only frustration and reluctance to play tops, I want to play the game and enjoy it, not wonder if Abrams had additional armor or not if he needs it in Give him that in the game, instead you gave him better armor for the T90M on his left and right side so that the Bradley can’t hit him and the HSTVL which is also at 12.0 can barely damage him from the side I just want to have fun in the game, have fun playing it, and not feel constantly frustrated and angry because the only nation that gets the best toys is Russia.

I think it would be best to keep the Leopard 2SG for Israel, so they can make Singaporean lineups with the Hunder AFV. Germany could instead get the Leopard 2 Revolution, which is the upgrade kit that the Leopard 2RI was based on but has a lot of additional upgrades Indonesia didn’t get like a remote weapon on the roof, improved sights and laser warning system.

No, in terms of alliances and technology, Britain would have been the next best for a subtree, but as Britain is already quite filled, I personally think Gaijin chose France because of the available room and the benefit France could get from somewhat easier to introduce main service vehicles of the Benelux (what some call Germany 2.0, but that’s doing the Benelux a disservice, as a majority of their imported/leased equipment is/was US and UK vehicle variants, only the Leopards and Gepards were German adjacent variants).

The vehicles Gaijin chooses to add don’t indicate what Benelux has to offer.

Also WWII and 1930s… Germany is a horrendous choice.

Those are present for the Benelux, like a Leopard 1A5BE MEXAS with our own MECAR produced APFSDS rounds (as obviously Belgium has its own weapons factories, we didn’t use German ammo on most out leopards…).

Those Leopards are the ‘easy’ addition by Gaijin, but there are plenty of better fitting options too. Look at the whole picture (also Helis and Airplanes). Personally I only take one leopard and two Leclercs with me, it does give a different brawling and mobility playstyle over the Leclerc. Imo they complement each other.

Of course the best would be for BeNeLux to just be independent, but that ship seems to have sailed already.

Sorry I didn’t word “apart from being” correctly I meant Why was it added as premium besides being something that’s part of the revenue share program. And I guess there may have been more than a few Revenue share program vehicles added to the games main tech tree but I guess going forward why was the decision for this one to be added as a premium vehicle

Yes.

There is a survey, an want to send my opinon of the game.
Can I have the link please ?

I started hating unique premiums long ago. Italian tree has Celere Sahariano and M3A3 at the same BR. Guess which one became a premium, this is 5 years ago btw

Did you actually read the post?

You missed this part:

For example the M44 for Germany, this vehicle filled a gameplay gap in the tree while we worked on developing and implementing the Hummel, which was just implemented in the Heavy Cavalry major update.

I think the problem is that this wasn’t exactly communicated to us back when the M44 was added.
So it’s down to the riddle form of communication you people do.

He quoted the part of the text where we explained exactly this vehicle. He simply eather did not read the whole text or try to mislead others, that there is no answer for this in the text original post.

IMO, they could easily add the Dutch Leopard 1V as a foldered vehicle alongside the 1A5BE. The 1V used the British L64A4 round, which, to my knowledge, is much more comparable to DM23/DM33. That would allow Gaijin to give the 1A5BE its historical ammunition and, if necessary, move it up in BR, while still retaining a Leopard at 9.3.
