Yeah, with premium and even vehicles people want unique stuff when THEY can get it, but then get upset when they miss an even and other people have unique stuff they don’t, the F-14D I think was a double blow as the initial plan was to remove a bunch of iconic weapon systems to keep it’s BR down (like USA premium players wont manage that on their own).
The strangest one though is the F-101C Voodoo situation right now… An interesting unique vehicle IN THE TT and there are multiple threads complaining about it, and there isn’t even any thing brocen or bugged, they are just upset that it’s not some Frankenstein hybrid of the B an C models with both missiles and guns (guns that where removed to fit the missiles btw). If I was Gaijin seeing that I would defiantly be “well if thats how you feel about it… copy paste it is”
The VT4 is already in Chinas Tree same as VT4A1. Both are utter garbage and Gaijin isn’t even giving them their ERA at the Side. Imagine them adding in a T-Series Tank for USSR without its ERA at the Side.
Thats literally every Nations Community. And CN is probably the last Nation Gaijin is catering too especially when compared to USA/USSR/Germany who get handheld like Crazy and still are the ones crying the loudest when they already not just get the best but also always the first ones to get Stuff whereas others, including China btw, often just get Slop and have to wait years just to get basic Stuff which isn’t even an question for main three to get from the get-go. The problem with the VT4 was an way more complicated issue and is like the one single only time Gaijin listened to the complaints of Chinas Playerbase and all of a sudden they are now apparently having an China-bias. Wonder what you would say if Gaijin added the Oplot to USSR Tree…
Why do you have to research Israel if you want to play Greece? That makes much much less sense than having to research US to get a US export vehicle in your Greek tree.
Domestic vehicles you can just research in the Greek tree? We’re talking about export vehicles originating from another major nation… You know, the copy-paste stuff this forum topic and post was actually about (duplicate vehicles)
In my opinion, Greek SHOULD get a home (its own tree!!!). Currently, it does not have a home.
I’m not advocating to remove minor nations (!!!). The complete opposite. There should be dozens of minor nations and they should get their own trees. Currently you can’t even have dozens and dozens of minor nations because where would you ‘house’ them?
Almost everyone plays a major nation. So that provides a convenient ‘side-entry’ into minor nations trees. In my opinion, if you already have an F-4 phantom research, it should be a small additional research to get the skins and be able to play these vehicles you already researched into minor nations trees. NOT the full 400k RP or even a full tree research

not to mention we also put some of the first if not the first laser guided bombs onto phantoms (it was a mk117 demolition bomb with a early form of guidance kit, yet we are still stuck with a early F-4E and no F-4D/F-4G in sight, such an iconic aircraft yet stuck with the bare bones versions even though it was operated in the US and upgraded to use LGBs and have the camera in the wing similar too the kurnass 2000
In short: there is a problem, but it is not really intended that way. So you are all wrong, there is no problem. Buy the 50% packs
most of us dont mind copy paste premiums but you can just add a subtree in instead of making a copy paste tech tree
copy paste premiums are must as unique premiums leave us with for example the pucara locked behind a paywall

If your goal is to avoid locking unique or historically important vehicles behind a premium paywall, how do you explain the situation with the French battleship Jean Bart? It is the very last French battleship, an iconic and deeply historical ship, yet it’s a nerf’d premium costing €80. Meanwhile, the Clemenceau, a ship of the same class that was never even finished, is researchable in the tech tree. This decision completely contradicts your stated philosophy of reserving historical pillars for the main tree…
Unique Premium are the absolute last this Game needs.
Premiums should always ever only be Copy-Paste or Exports/Prototypes (only if the TT doesn’t need them) - like the VT4 should have been Premium for China and ZTZ96B in TT (or the VT2 literally the Export Variant of it) but now we have an unique Vehicle used by the PLA itself…locked behind a Paywall.
To be fair at least for Thailand the VT-4 tank doesn’t have side ERA unlike what China could get. More often in Thai service the sideskirts are removed completely, which is also done on the Oplot tanks.
Thailand also uses BTA4 APFSDS, not DCT10-125 like the VT-4s we have in game, so it’s slightly worse than them even. But not worse enough for a different BR.
Honestly this move made them lose a sale. I would’ve bought a premium Clemenceau, but no way am I paying for an ahistorically gimped vehicle, especially since it was the France bluewater tree’s last chance to have a BB that doesn’t have abysmal dispersion.
Even worse is the fact that when Clemenceau and Jean Bart were leaked some of us begged them to make Clemenceau the premium instead as Jean Bart would’ve required artificial nerfs to fit at 8.3, but they completely ignored our feedback and went ahead anyway.
Gotta love another community post gaslighting the community. Players weren’t mad that the F-16 was a copy paste of the wrong nation. they were mad that it wasn’t a French vehicle. Why would I play France just to get mid US aircraft. An aircraft that doesn’t fill any gaps in the tree other than the ability to monetize it. There were plenty of French vehicles that could have filled that gap and you gave France a US aircraft.
Also what happened to no top tier premiums. We have a top tier battleship for France now that is the best ship in their naval tree.
Typical gaijin. It’s a real shame because I probably would have done the same and added a talisman to the Jean Bart. Just to tide me over until something better came along, but there’s nothing better here
The VT4s are both like 12BR Vehicles. They are way overbr’d. Imo they could remove the DTC10-125 from the VT4 but it should be like 11.7 / 12BR cause thats what the Tank is. (Like Cavenub says so too and is much more experienced than me). I don’t see how the VT4s are 12.3 / 12.7BR at all.
VT4A1 should by all means get its ERA on the Side maybe then its an 12.7BR worth MBT but also have to note the ERA used is not the FY5 but some FY2A / FY2T which don’t help against KE like Relikt / Kontakt-5; only helps against HEAT and Tandem Warhead like 60-70% according to some Book someone posted in another Thread about it
I don’t fully agree with the limitations of current subtrees, so I think a player should be able to play Greek vehicles individually like I suggested as part of the subtree rework.
But forcing a split means to play Greece you have to play America, France, Germany, etc. all to get one nation. Meanwhile an American player only has to play one nation to get that nations vehicles, this isn’t fair.
Greece being all in one techtree is an important part to treating them as a nation, not bonus content.
Especially in ground battles where linups matter, a Greek lineup wouldn’t be possible if their vehicles were split across nations, this is not treating the nation fairly.
And again, this works the other way around too. If I want to play Greece, I want to play Greece, not USA, Germany, France and more to piece together individual vehicles. Why should a Greek player be forced to play entire nations they have no interest in, just to get Greek vehicles?
Ah, that explains it then. That would go back to the horribly mismanaged Thai air line too, and the context that this list is air and ground techtree vehicles specifically (so no naval either) makes a lot more sense.
The whole post is very reasonable too. The person who made it doesn’t just blindly hate on things, but understands the context and gives what seems like good solutions like asking for uniquely modified variantswhere possible.
Seems I really misjudged it.
They prioritize most important holes first, then go back & fill more later.
