I didn’t write it but mostly i was aiming for the top tier to criticize. The lover tier yeah there are way more uniq vechicel
Is it possible that we get more news like this, with more info about how decisions get made. I honestly think it’s really nice to see.
Dollar alredy proven that the idea of adding those copy paste vehicles just isnt true by the most part.
This post is an absolute joke
Mr snail used to add cool duplicates
Example:

i suggest add cool duplicates aircraft with different engines / modifications if available.
Example of cool duplicates:
Mr snail added He 177 A-3 for battlepass it’s copy past of the He 177 A-5 nothing interesting.
Example of awesome duplicate for He 177 :
He 177 B-5

4 engines He 177 / better defense
or the He 177 A-7 last type He 177 with better defense / engines /use the He 274 cockpit.
it’s awesome duplicate instead of He 177 A-3
I recommend mr snail to look at all players suggestions again.
so many awesome / cool vehicles suggestion for all nations.
mr snail i don’t trust that line anymore analyze your feedback
💔?
Mr snail when i am going to the dead sea next week to swim i make sure to bring mr Snail to dead sea.

This is exactly what we DON’T want you to do. We don’t want mass produced slop “right now”. You add copy pastes as temporary fixes, but then they stay and so do the consequences. And the consequences are that variety dies as every nation gets a Sherman, a Leopard, an F-16 or other.
Gaps in tech trees aren’t nearly as important as the quality of the gameplay.
I’ve been playing War Thunder since 2013. I started with aviation, took a long break, then switched to ground forces, and by now the clone fatigue is real. T-34 after T-34, T-64 after T-64, and now another Leopard 2 or another T-90 variant. It all starts to feel the same.
I completely understand duplicate premium vehicles. But filling the main research trees with three or four copy-paste variants of the same MBT just kills the motivation to grind. It ends up being the same gameplay for months.
You mentioned that unique vehicles and prototypes take longer to develop. I get that. But that’s exactly what top tier needs to stay exciting. Real variety is worth waiting for.
I’d much rather grind vehicles like:
USSR: Object 640 (Black Eagle), Object 490, Object 477, T-95 (Object 195), T-14 Armata, and Object 787 (Viper).
USA: CATTB, M1 Thumper (Abrams Block III), and AbramsX.
Germany: KF51 Panther, Leopard 2 A-RC 3.0, and EMBT 140.
Sweden: Strv 2000.
I’d happily spend my time and money grinding vehicles like these instead of another Leopard, Abrams, or T-90 variant. That’s the kind of diversity that keeps top tier exciting and gives players a reason to keep playing.
But not tech tree variant, you’re also right about the Phantom.
theres no IFF in many planes like the prop ones and the Harrier GR1, still a problem, Hunter in 2 nations, the issue is with the old planes
yea but at least for me sometimes its funny to see American bf109 or playing my nc900
Last I checked if I buy something it’s mine and the manufacturer can’t just claim ownership again. The USA got their spoils from the export, the funds to develop even more vehicles that can also be found in (or added to) the US techtree. But in exchange they no longer own the vehicles they sold, that’s simply how export works.
Now if I play War Thunder because I want to play the Greek military, why would I be forced to play the USA? Or even worse, considering Greece doesn’t exclusively operate American equipment, do I now have to play even more nations to make a Greek lineup? Or are the lineups completely removed and the nation might as well not be there? What about domestic Greek vehicles? If Greece has no fixed home in game, where would I put for example the Leonidas variants?
…variety to lineups at the cost of removing variety of matches :/
i like that you guys gave us a reason why, but id still prefer less copy paste.
what was the M55 filling in for?
leaked by Mr Stona himself
Or what about the F-4E mk2 Peace Icarus 2000? it was upgraded with Germany not USA were it should go with he’s logic?
Is it really that hard to improve the game and give players what they’ve been asking for?
Speaking of duplicates, another change they could have made to differentiate a vehicle is, for example, giving this new M60A1 RISE Passive Premium the ability to carry the shovel. This would give it some difference compared to the Tech Tree model, apart from carrying bags and boxes (which is something all tanks should carry, based on historical photos).

Into Germany :3 my phantoms should grow
is the F-4F KWS LV better then the F-4E AUP ?
I’ll give you the F-16AJ, that just shouldn’t exist. The closest real world equivalents are also both US aircraft:
- YF-16A Sparrow testbed; This one only did launch tests and had no radar for guidance, so it couldn’t be added. But it’s still the closest to a “real” F-16AJ since this is the prototype project the later F-16J proposal was based on. The F-16J was never built, so the alleged prototype Gaijin mentioned is this testbed.
- Initial F-16A ADF; Initially these were armed with AIM-7 Sparrow missiles. Essentially they are like the AJ in game except with a Block 15 airframe and without air to ground weapons. This could just be added.
For the F-4 it’s not in the US tree because it’s a specific Japanese variant that’s upgraded by Japan, not the US. It’s only used by Japan. The US still has F-4s with later missiles though like the F-4J and F-4S, they could also maybe get a later F-4E than the one in game right now with newer weapons if they wanted.
But mirroring that, that’s exactly what smaller nations would need to go through if this didn’t happen. For example a Greek player would have to play the entire American techtree just to get the F-4 that the Greek air force operates.
Personally I also tried my hand at a solution to improve the admittedly very flawed subtree system. Maybe you want to check that out and leave some feedback, criticism or ideas for improvement.
Sales must’ve been not up to standard it seems
