It is not. Bm42 lol pens 2a4 hull without having to aim for weakspots. 2a7 hull requires aiming for weakspots even with bm60
The solution seems obvious then: just stop adding so many unnecessary premiums.

IIRC, the MB-326K was made by NovA29. It first showed up as premium, but after a push was made tech-tree.
With the revenue share program vehicles given to their maker for free, I’m assuming so this image is further proof.
Just add both tech tree and premium equivelants of new planes to the game. And people don’t want variants of planes that are either already ingame or have minimal differences (i.e F-16AM and japanese F-16, F-14D and F-14B).

And that’s fair, but the question it raises is when was the decision made to model the Hummel vs the M44?
Because M44’s were added in December 2024, the only domestic analogue we’ve seen since is the Hummel, nearly 18 months later. if the decision was made to model, say, Hummel, M44, and RO2001 or Sexton at the same time, would we have seen such a big gap between model introduction?
