Yep
Still scratching my head as to what capability gap most everything in the BeNeLux subtree actually addresses that can’t be domestically addressed by French designs aside from (so far in the game) AH-64E.

i anit no nuke farmer and i want more vehicles for my line ups because i do not leave after 1 death
still waiting on MKI i don’t care what others think
random question, are you Greek?
Is that atleast in low tier both dutch and belgian designs should have been added, but we just recieved the Fokker Mercury at launch, fokker D-XXI came later and Fokker D-XXIII came later.
And there are many aircraft left from fokker, even production ones like the Fokker T.V, Fokker T.IX, Fokker T.VIII (low tier torpedo bomber which France doesn’t see in the TT until 3.3), Fokker S.14.1 «L-1» Machtrainer (an early jet), etc and piles of etc.
And I didn’t mention Koolhoven yet, with stuff like the Koolhoven F.K.58
SABCA comes with Belgium, aircraft like the multiple Italian license built bombers and even multi-role like the SABCA S.47, or simply Alfred Renard with monoplane fullmetal prototypes like Renard R.36 and family or simply the R.31 which did see serious production runs.
This is only the air tree mind you, the launch and current state of BeNeLux is a complete shame, a launch could be justified but the current state? hell no.
Even if BVV_d said “those ranks are filled up” on the Q&A you can still see lackluster low tiers
France is one of those, just carry on with Moranes and Fokkers and some h-75.
WT is an incredible discovery tool, there’s no reason to “deny” more obscure aircraft.
how many of you knew about the VB.10s before WT? What about the VM-23 or DB-LK?
You could add piles upon piles of these for tech tree, but instead is just “export aircraft number 48”, Sub trees don’t even come with skins to unlock, Thailand used Ki-27s and Ki-21s but you don’t know because the only WW2 aircraft they have is a SB2C copypasted from France, even down to the literal roundel on the name.
Sub-Trees are currently just rushed explanations for Warsaw stuff on NATO, NATO stuff on Warsaw, Axis stuff on allies and Allied stuff on axis.
Would be nice to get Thai camos for these. The Ki-43-II too, there’s already a marketplace camo for that, but on the wrong variant.
They could also add some other WWII aircraft from Thailand, their Hawk 75N or NA-68, or even some Thai operated Japanese aircraft we just don’t have yet like the Ki-30 or Ki-55. They could also add the Thai Toyo FD-25B Defender, which is currently the only post-WWII combat aircraft exported by Japan.
True. I never knew 50 and 200 kg tnt missiles can just vanish entirely after hitting tank. Wouldnt discover this if I never played war thunder.

But currently they will only look at Thailand in order to make some update fodder.
It is a complete shame, specially since Thailand can fill those CAS support role Japan lacks so much, but currently is just some bum jet with secondary weapons it never saw.
You can ask that about every sub-tree but Sweden’s and Japan’s ones, as they are the only nations to need them. Any other fill one or maybe two gaps the host couldn’t fill, and that 99% of the time is with a “C&P” vehicle. (Some would fill more if they had additions on that side of the tree)
There is the other side to sub-nations: Representation. That is the entire point of unneeded sub-nations.
Because despite all of the issues with the system(like lack of space), it’s the one upside, as you see additions from the nation(s), and it’s all in one place, allowing you to make line-ups for the nation.
As being a sub-tree guarantees the nation(s) get additions in one place, which is much better than being a homeless nation. (No nation should be subject to having a vehicle covered in symbolism to another nation be called the prefect premium, just due to the family it’s from (and the only connection to the nation it’s premium for))
I have called War Thunder the best and worst representation of nations before because it’s true. As in military games, this has some of the only representations of unique/historical vehicles of the operator, which isn’t one of 3 RTS or a map game. As any other game is the same 3-5 nations you see all the time. But at the same time, unless the nation has a home, it can see key vehicles sold to it at $100 each all in different trees unable to be used together, or worse, be added in other unobtanium ways never to join them if they do get a home.
still goated it grinded me the rank 1-3 in the air tree
Shouldn’t their be a 38 cm Sturmmörser/Ersatz M10/losat in the tech tree or even a premium or squadron vehicle
Yeah I’m pretty sure they complain about the Senrai Maidens vehicles or the other packs that have camo nets as they literally only have a camo that’s different than both tech tree or premium versions if you gonna sell camos than sell camos by it self don’t resell the vehicle it self as that’s literally greed (only justification I see reselling it would be if the nation could use it to fill a gap or could use a extra vehicle like the m1/m1 kvt) and I don’t think they’re complaining about stuff like jas39Di/f21 , f2a adtw/f2 , A10A early / late , f/a18C early/late, bmpt72, cobra/m4a3e2 , m1/m1 kvt…etc
Those make gaijin money so no
They would make more if they had a premium version or possibly even as a squadron vehicle I doubt gajin store makes them that much money especially since console players don’t have access to it not to mention these vehicles are unique/interesting
“we know that some players would prefer effective and interesting premium vehicles, but at the same time, do not want important or unique vehicles outside of the research tree.”
That’s a smart idea and this is gaijin and I have argued that with Smin but the devs are against it
This brought me straight to The Cod Mine Man’s latest video…
Gaijin, this is great.
Staying silent is better than lying.
That’s the problem. Three trees lead the pack in terms of non domestic and copy-paste additions: Japan, France, and Sweden.
Japan, and to a lesser extent, Sweden, Make sense, because they have a smaller pool (though not none) of domestic designs left.
France is missing hundreds of domestic designs, so it’s silly that we see that minor tree options, and especially copy-paste ones, that explicitly don’t address gaps in the French tree are being added under the guise of filling gaps.
Subtrees should, first and foremost, augment trees by filling their weaknesses and being a way to showcase truly unique designs from minor trees. If subtrees are just an excuse for every country on the planet to be able to field all other vehicles, then we might as well not have trees to begin with.
You’re also ignoring the fact that a majority of people play trees in order to play the vehicles from said tree. The truth is, once subtrees are added in, the rate of domestic designs getting added plummets which is why this topic was made to begin with: because people are tired of unique trees getting diluted by F-16s/Leopard 2s/M44s/M109s and other vehicles that aren’t being put there to fill gaps and show off what makes the tree unique, but instead as additions of expediency.
So is a nation like the UK, which’s primary sub-tree brought one addition, that wasn’t a Churchill on wheels (the Gripen C). A sub-tree, once you take off the rose-tinted glasses, only existed to nerf the UK, as seen with vehicles like the Fox.
The one piece of advice for ZA vehicles I got: if you have no more crew slots for the line-up, it’s the first to go.
And this is the biggest issue with sub-trees. They aren’t allowed to be a nation; by others, they should never have representation. At that point, why have sub-trees, if they are to only exist for one, maybe two additions, heck, why take advantage of the only thing War Thunder does best, compared to every other game that is the same 3 nations (US, Germany, USSR).
A vehicle with historic importance to the nation, if not the host nation, should never come to the game, prototypes only. And this rejection of vehicles with historic importance to the operator can be seen in this update clearly, with the desire to have a nation’s last MBT be replaced with a one-off or a private prototype.
The big reason people celebrated the sub-tree systium as becuse it let more nations, with fewer vehclies could, be added, giving them representation.
And your skiping the fact that there are just as many playing a nation just because of a sub-nation. But I guess I must stop grinding France, or buying premiums for the tree, just because I shouldn’t only play it for the sub-tree (as the only reason I started to grind the Franch tree was for BeNeLux).
And it’s not just me, I’ve talked to those who only did the UK tree, because India & South Africa became subtrees
Yet people celebrated when the US got 2 Skinks despite not being connected to the project. Rejecting it without testing, it entered service with Canada & the UK only.
They are only sick of the US, and Germany have their mass exported vehicles represented as mass export vehicles. “Minor nations” can have there vehclie shared between 17 trees and no one cares. Or they have domestic vehicles claimed as C&P if they get them because another nation, like the US, used them.
This thread exists because the issue it two folded:
People are sick of Gaijin doing what they said after years of complaints on why these X operators get a vehicle, yet Y nation, who also used it, didn’t get it, so rather than having those complaints, they give all operators who used a vehicle (who have a home) it at the same time (or in a close time frame).
And at the same time, people have forgotten what variants are, despite 90% of War Thunder being made of them, as seen with vehicles who put side by side are clearly not a 1-1 C&P of each other.
M4A1:
75mm gun
Cast hull
Continental R-975
Crew 5
Ram II (75)
75mm gun
Cast hull
Continental R-975
Crew 5
Let’s put it this way: if you didn’t know what each tank was, this reads as if I just told you that same tank twice. This is the issue with playing the same = C&P route. Domestic vehicles to other nations, like the Canadian Ram II, will end up being called C&P, because they play as a more aggressive Sherman.
