Not the same gun, same barrel, But it uses the 17pounder breach, and different shell casings, that make it more powerful than the standard OQF 3.7in
Also should be different shells.
28 pounder means the AP shells them selves weighed 28 pounds.

It was denied for lacking information to model it, which pretty much just means “we tried, but don’t have enough yet”. Especially for the O-I there’s information that we know Gaijin likely lack for being privately owned, so in case that gets public, more public information is found/released or Gaijin even buy their access like WOT did this issue would be solved. And that’s just assuming Gaijin even found everything that is already public on their own.
So it was denied, but I think it’s unnecessary to add “completely” like it’s some final decision that isn’t able to change so easily.

The Oi has Mixed information, that would WILDLY vary what BR it was placed at.
Some sources Cite the built prototype only having 75mm of Frontal armor, others mention that the built prototype had the full 150mm.
The gun is also a problem, Some call out the famous 150mm it carries in the other tank game, others call out it using the Same 75mm as the Chi-To and such. Even some odd ones like a 105 that was a earlier version of the 105 that was going to be in the Ho-Ri’s. Some even mention the same short 120 from the Chi-Ha Short gun.
In time its likely more information will be found, and a solid version of the built OI prototype will be found, But for now i understand Gaijins hesitation to add it.
it gets even MORE confusing when the Blueprints are brought up and show the 150mm gun.
While direct documents state the 105mm was the intended gun for the Prototype.
Its possible the plans here are for the 120 Ton prototype that was never constructed.
In time it will likely come, But for now, there is just too much conflicting information.

Despite what some people claim, we just don’t know if they ever saw combat.
The Germans ran out of the 128mm guns they had been stripping from their destroyers, and right at the end of the war started putting L71 88s in the remaining Jagdtiger hulls.
