The hull was built, comparing it to the Flakpanzer 341 that had no unique components built isn’t entirely fair.
A re-used component from other vehicles, like a Panther hull in this case, is not a vehicle specific components and still has it count as an entirely unbuilt vehicle unless some specific modification was done to it. An entirely unique hill like the Kranvagn is a partly built prototype on the other hand.
It was not a YF-16, it was a new model of F-16 only based on old Sparrow testing on the YF-16 platform that was discarded by the USAF. The F-16AJ still would’ve used an early block production airframe, full radar, and so on, just modified to integrate Sparrow missiles and the additional hardpoints.
None of the F-16 photos with Sparrows are related the F-16J, instead the later F-16J proposal just took these earlier tests as basis for a new proposed variant.
This aircraft was never built, as by that point it had already lost to the F-15J.
Then again the aircraft in game is neither, it’s not a YF-16, but also not an F-16AJ either. It’s a Block 10 with later PW-220 engine and two Sparrows integrated like it’s a 90s F-16 ADF (the F-16J was a late 70s proposal).
It’s not about it if it’s possible to model, that’s a separate issue entirely and can often even mean complete vehicles will be entirely deniend (take the Komatsu 105mm GSR for example), while incomplete vehicles like the Ho-229 still have the information to be accurately modelled.
The difference between an unfinished prototype and a tech demonstrator here is that one might be incomplete, but is still a fully armed design that’s partly built. A tech demonstrator on the other hand can be complete, bit if no armed design for it exists then any armament for it is fictional. Not paper, as if it doesn’t exist it needs to be entirely made up now.
Not enough for it to be DCM worthy in my opinion. At least not any time soon.
DCT is more for “wonky”/“unusual” vehicles that don’t really fit the game and weren’t going to be added otherwise. At least that was the original thinking but considering we got the kv7 (the community wasn’t very pleased) through it, idk anymore.

Not entirely besides it’s not like the chassis went to waste it did get a turret being that of the Bkan 1A. It very much could be added in the AKV 151 variant but a version with the actual turret would be very unlikely, yes it drove, yes the armor is listed out, but the ammo info isn’t as well known.
I will remind you of the E-100 With the Maus Turret, the same thing can be applied for the Emil.
That was also added back during a time when paper vehicles were allowed and is a sought after event vehicle that brings gaijin money
We also aren’t Japan and very likely won’t get a fictional tank just because the devs feel like it.

Regardless the Kranvagn chassis is the only thing that was made, if you want the Kranvagn you can have the AKV 151, I doubt we’d ever see the hydronuematic suspension test rig with the 20 pndr
