Honestly, as the person who suggested the Kawasaki Ki-64, I really wouldn’t want this beautiful aircraft to end up as a “Dreams Come True” vehicle. It deserves to be a standard tech tree aircraft so that Japan gains a very useful super-prop. I really hope the Ki-64 isn’t locked behind a paywall for new players.

I watched a few videos of this thing a while back. There are multiple passed suggestions that imo shouldn’t ever be added.
As far as DCT events if it was a planned WWII vehicle with a chassis that actually existed and an armament that actually existed that’s enough in my opinion to be added. IMO they don’t need to have been physically completed. It’s just not enough data to be added as anything other than a DCT vehicle.

I agree that it would be good as a TT addition. It’s not super gimmicky or anything, and its playstyle would be just different enough to add something interesting to the Japanese tree. Unfortunately, with how little attention Imperial Japanese Aviation gets from the devs (the Ki-93 is the first Imperial Japanese aircraft added to the tech tree since the B6Ns many years back, I believe), I don’t see it coming in that way. DCT may be the only chance we have to get it added.

DCT vehicles are typically things requested since the early days of the game, which is naturally almost always WWII.
If I’m not mistaken, Japan—in my opinion, at least—has two aircraft that are prime candidates for the “Dreams Come True” feature. One is the Kawasaki Ki-64, and the other is the Mitsubishi A6M8. Both are famous prototypes that players dream of flying, and it would be a huge loss for the community if either ended up behind a paywall. Unfortunately, Japan doesn’t have many other cool planes or tanks that could be added to this category without it being a major disappointment for players.
