Don't Forget The Older Planes You Have!

You may as well fly the Sakeen if you’re choosing the absolute worst props to fly. The P-40 is just highly overtiered.

Regarding the rest of your post, all I’m going to say is that you’re missing out on a lot. Climbing higher does not guarantee anything. Try the A-36, you can dominate entire teams with it more often than not, and you get a forward air spawn, so you spend half as much time climbing.

Here in the next year Im going to familiarize myself with Air Sim, I am getting a little bored with the game and so Sim may revitalize my interest. I can relate about cannon/50cals. The CL Mk 6 is a BR 9 jet with no countermeasures and 50s. It is fun for me to make those 50s work, and its not that hard really. Youre like the only one who is not negative and understands the “gist” of the post. LOL, Everytime I get on this Forum it seems to be so negative in tone.

HIstory mate.

Youre “older planes” dont necessarily mean Props, but thank you for your reply.

As well as I believe the F18 will be if ever introduced, the F18 as a whole, you take out the US electronic package in real life, its seen its day, and saw its day when introduced.

Just went and flew the German Mig 19S with the nice turn time, yes! a very fine plane. I agree as well with the climb rate answer, there are planes, that function best at med altitudes, jets or props. Very good pilot I see.

Bro, you can’t possibly be calling P-40 overtiered, then say the A-36 “dominates”.

Either way, the P-51D-20 is even worse than the Sakeen for everything other than CAS.

The F6F-5 is a dream! It´s my fav US plane atm. Give it a try. It feels slow sometimes in a fight, but it got some decent tricks it can do

Comparing the P-40 to other 2.7s it looks horrifyingly overtiered, yes.

In my personal experience:
The P-40 does not turn, has poor top speed to fight with, does not climb, and kills itself with heat. Compared with the A-36, which has fantastic speed, good turn at high speed, decent climb (at low alt), the engine will work forever, and gets an air spawn as a bonus.
I can wipe entire lobbies with the A-36, I can’t do the same in the P-40. I can take the A-36 to uptiers and do well, I can’t do the same with the P-40.

As for your D20 vs Sakeen comparison… I don’t know how you tripped to accidently write that sentence. The D20 has SOMETHING it can use to fight with, the Sakeen has nothing.

t2 is alright but I wouldnt fly it rn with the j7d swarm running around in full uptiers

My hang up is mostly…

Spoiler

I lack the game sense to be able to fly sth where I cannot see behind me. my last attempt with it turned into people constantly flying in that blind spot and shooting me down lmao.

Maybe practicing with the bf109s will help, terrible visibility still but not this much.

in my experience:

it turns more than acceptable enough especially with smart flap usage to get guns on target when played correctly

seems like the top speed is pretty great for 2.7

true of a lot of planes at this BR unfortunately, but you can just take an extra 30-45 seconds to climb to the side

Is this some automatic engine control user joke that I’m too manual engine controlled to know about?

yeah the j7d is just out of place/overpowered currently, but if that is ever resolved T2K will be pretty good again

i’ve been playing the CL-13B and man it is fun. i skipped almost the entirety of props and jets just to get those shiny top tier jets, and found that the real fun is in the lower tiers

I think you get mixed up somewhere.

The P-51D-20 has literally 0 upsides for its BR. It’s firepower sucks, it’s climb rate sucks, its energy retention sucks, it’s slow af at low alts.

The Sakeen ATLEAST has firepower on its side.

P-40E overheats even with MEC.

lol no

lol no

It does

sakeen firepower is mediocre

Explanation of the Sakeen from a friend of mine:

Get’s more kills than the even worse P-51D-20 and that’s all that matters.
