Smin comfirmed that not only US will also get Skink, but also they will get a new domestic made SPAA. So we will need to wait and see what SPAA it will be. Personally i would like it being in the gap you showed, but there are some other radar spaas that US made

I don’t know why they keep using odd, awful concept vehicles like the skink to fill tree gaps. It’s genuinely worse than the MGMC and doesn’t have much more pen against ground targets either.

I use Corsairs or Bearcats as anti-assault.

They will not put a missile SPAA BETWEEN M19/M42 and M163.
And it’s BEWEEN them where the worst gap is.

Having to use the bosvark (5.3, zero mg protection, slow and large turning circle with miniscule belt size to deal with jets) to support my 7.7 and future 8.0 lineups because next SPAA is at 8.3 is super fun.

But they won’t. They wont go from manual guns, to guided missiles, then back down to guns (albeit radar assisted guns). At best it would be a sidegrade to the M163, which wouldn’t address the gap.

As much as I love the Vigilante, I think the XM246 is more likely option
For one, the Vigilante has very little ammunition storage and a ridiculously high RoF, meaning it’s utility will be doubtful.
The XM246 on the other hand would play like an American Gepard, filling the SPAA gap at 8.3

The Gap from M19/M42 to M163 I think is more painful than the gap from M163 to SGT York and should be addressed first.
Really, they should give the M42 Duster proxy HE option, since it could fire them.
Idk, probably because they have the strongest CAS in that BR range too.
Spaa is needed there it cost more to spawn a aircraft than a spaa. Not to mention when you get closer to the early jets the m42 really shows its age.
CAP would be needed to replace spaa not CAS.

Skink is better than Wirbelwind at anti-air, and people love the Wirbelwind.
