Does the USA have any viable 14.3 jets that won't be DOA?

I’ve had no failures of missiles with the F-15s, because I came from Mig-21s and F-4Es where leading missiles was necessary, and I just kept leading missiles.

I’ve been playing since the F-4C credit-grinding days, so I understand.
You misunderstood my point — the AIM-7 and AIM-9M struggle to force experienced players into a disadvantageous defensive position, because they’re too easy to dodge while still maintaining positioning.

The actual experience in ARB will be like this: you fire an AIM-7 at a Su-27, he doesn’t even bother to notch, he just flies straight at you to fire his ER, then he out-rolls the AIM-7 while still keeping lock. That’s not a good experience.

Interestingly enough,
With the ways things are going and how Gaijin models shit, it’s likely to be the 2nd best plane after the Felon—and boy will that be a meltdown.
It will be kinda funny.

Well to be fair depending on how Gaijin models its stealth, whether it gets an HMD and with the current state of american made missiles it might actually be DOA lol

If it arrived with the same performing C-5 AMRAAMs and 9Ms I’d understand (sort of)

I just assume Alvis plays on a different client for most of his posts, like people on his weren’t running multipath 24/7 as to not get bonked by an R-27ER that didn’t exist in Thunder War.

Nope they all dead
Added to list all non fox 3 f16s.

Its one of the worst trees arpund now, no unique meta vics. Cope and struggle all.the way

Yea its probably going to be really messy when that happens.

Im also looking forward to people being really mad that an F-35 is incapable of pulling more than 9G and has no cobra button. Other than reduced visability to radar the F-35 (especially the 35B) is gonna be so mid

Its just worse above 13.0, below that its still a pretty good tree

F22 didnt get HMD until quite recent so i doubt it will debut with it, as that wasnt how the raptor was in the early days of its adoption

You guys have seen how America has been DoA every since the F14 tomcat. After that backlash there’s no way Gaijin will make F22 somewhat on the same level as the su57.

Other than the f8 its all.on other, better overall trees.

F20 looks.cool but.premium… struggling for more

you know that F35 is rated to pull significantly more AOA than EFT right?

its rated up to 50 degrees of AOA

Unless Gaijin feels like trolling I don’t think the F-22 will arrive in it’s very 1st form, not with what’s already in the game lol

wut

I think he focuses too much on stats, or he plays SIM too much. In ARB, everyone wants to fly high to have the best possible situational awareness instead of doing multipath, because you can’t effectively multipath while also dodging IR missiles and staying alert for unseen enemies approaching from some blind angle.

Good missiles are more impactful than good FM in regular matches — the Tornado F3 is a good example.

Sure other tree might have better variant then the one found in the US tree but it still has few good planes like A10C, F-4E and F-18A

If they’re going to implement Gen 5 they might as well implement ECM antenna/pods

I wouldnt underestimate Gaijins capabilities to give into the assured crying if the F22 hits the dev without HMD. But tbh depending on the missiles it gets a HMD-less F22 might actually be quite mid

This is the exact opposite of my experience. Almost everyone in air rb above 10.7 roleplays as a lawnmower, and this was even more true in the gripen IRCCM meta with 100m metre multipathing. Only at top tier and when the Mig-25 was added is when you see most people climbing high.

the best way to have situational awareness back then was to run an F-16C or Gripen with a Targeting Pod, 9M orbital strike was pretty potent too if you achieved full surprise
