Most players thinking Cobra is useful are going to use it everytime, knowing this you just have to climb, flare and comeback around a guy flying at low speed → this does not require to use a Full control simulator
You’re not going to “learn your way around it” when in a 1v1 duel someone forces a rate fight and uses SB controls while you don’t. He’s simply just going to out turn you in the same plane you have and you’re going to die in a few turns. There’s no ifs and buts about it
@Smin1080p_WT I have seen a lot of footage online of people (including content creators) using macros for chaff dumping and other things and i never seen a definitive answer on if it can get you banned or not, i would appreciate an answer form the devs about this if possible
I think “automation software” clause is more about automating gameplay, as spawning and going to some location without user interaction. Key binds are a common thing in mouse software. If you cannot use macro software, why would you be allowed to use head tracking software then? It’s the same principle. Your head movement is key bound to specific actions.
He’s trying to change a keybind, not get wallhacks. Just because he’s worried he’ll get banned under the cheating clause doesn’t mean it’s actually cheating, just that it might violate the letter of the law.
I can’t answer as to the macro questions ruling, but i want to clarify that key-binds and macros are two very different things.
A macro makes it so that you can press one key to have several actions happen all at once (or with 1ms delay), so for example making a macro so that if you press “q” the radar turns on, switches to TWS, weapon selector changes to ARH missiles and starts trying to lock the missile. All with one keypress.
Key-bind just makes a new key do one of the functions (Technically you could bind one key to multiple functions but then they will all happen instantly and likely not in the correct order they need to be for them to do what you want).
Because you can never be sure of the outcome, it often appears on the whim of how somebody feels that particular day. Then you have to go through the long tortuous procedure to have that incorrect ruling overturned.
There is so much cheating in the game it would be surprising if your were caught. A lot of the cheating is using far superior means than Battleye can detect or comprehend.
The closest thing I would try these days are probably using some macro programs to set a key to initiate leave vehicle instantly via the esc, this is to instantly J out with a single pressed of a button to deny kill for CAS. Is this ban-able? Lol
