Discussion on ZTZ99A model errors in game

Yup no spall liners added to the 99a either or any Chinese tank that had them. Was hoping the “remodel” would come with spall liners.

Typical gaijin moment. Get everyone who actually like this tank and knows anything of Chinese armor high.

Probably deliberately intentionally mess up.

its a damage model rework the breach its thicker and now its an entire piece and not an empty single piece with nothing else if you want a reload and a shell buff together with gun depression bug report them respectively with correct info that isnt classified its a thing they have, if you report more than 2 things in one bug report they are gonna tell you to make it separate

Wasn’t the armour on the breach removed recently? From what I can see the model shorter in length with a similar representation to the height of the vehicle in game to and the actual 99A.

They should have specified vaguely like “We are remodelling some parts of the tank” instead of simply saying “remodelling” which would literally imply all the above information you can find around (gaijin has a team to research vehicles correct? Why do I have to do their f**king job? What are they paid for? Proper implementation of a vehicle correct?)

Edit: there’s a video online of the 99A reloading right? I’m pretty sure at one point in the last 2 years there was a bug report of this and it wasn’t accepted. Why is the reload the way it is? No explanation.

ah no the armor wasnt removed it was made thicker and bigger overall its just that they forgot to model the breach in Xray, also videos of reload speed are not taken in consideration cuz they can be manipulated and hence are not reliable source according to gaijin standards

We have done all that, plus damage model isn’t even reworked properly as the gun breech armour is still what it was.

Since dev closed they removed some armour from it, as seen in datamines.

Then how else? Multiple websites list the 99A’s reload and gun depression but gaijin refuses to change it (and I am sure has been sent to them. If the website it trusted or not can’t be sure but there some non classified official websites stating this too which I believe has been sent to them before). Gaijin doesn’t even say why and whats the reasoning as to why. Any request gets shot down with no comment and no explanation.

check for the sources and if they are thrustworthy and every now and then try to check up how is the bug report going, and if they close it for some bs discuss it with the members to check if anyone could add anything else to the bug report, i would recommend having all your bug report saved in a file or something so in case it gets closed you can remake it with extra additions, also remember to list more than 1 source, i did 3 sources in case of mine also put the exact page on where it says the specific stats cuz i’ve happened to find some who dont read the whole document and then just says that it says nothing about what im bug reporting in there

maybe it has to be with the fact that the armor breach was recently bug reported, try to check with someone to see how is the bug report going regarding that

Maybe we were too optimistic with our expectations. With only a couple days before the expected release date, can we still expect Gaijin to be able to release a full internal module overhaul?

I give up on gaijin at this point. Any further remodel? Yeah no. Let’s do something that doesn’t change much. I’m surprised some people are absolutely optimistic saying “oh slightly smaller LFP!” That doesn’t really do anything.

People have been asking since 2022 for the changes to gun depression, dart changes but we will never get that etc or maybe in another 2 years don’t know.

Most part I agree, but the reload not. As I remember, it’s still same as T-72, same time, same action, and T-72’s 7.1s reload is like a standard, can’t be changed as everything else is based on it.

This tank has been given the ch2 treatment… i very much doubt youre gonna get it fixed further sadly…

Nope, it’s like assuming they have identical autoloaders, when in fact simply changing the electric motor will make significant difference in reload speed. Also in theory al Russian tanks can load in 6.7 and not 7.1, if you ignore the time spent rotating which is not needed if all APFSDS (I know IRL always carry more HEAT and HE). China (Thailand VT4 ) manual clearly states 6.7 seconds.

Looks far closer to reality to me. What looks wrong to you?

Quite literally no information whatsoever on the 99A’s depression, if you have a source then feel free to share.

7.1 is the standard for AZ autoloaders and their derivatives, is it not?

fight for your bug report, its not fair that they will close it without reason that’s why i keep my bug report info archived to remake them

Nope, 7.1 is for rotating two shells in carousel, while in reality you should only need to change 1 position.

It is still way bigger than real life, and it is in fact the largest breech (volume) even in comparison to Chally.

It should have more than 5, it currently have 0, as the entire turret is 5 degrees leaning forward, so in game it is in a ‘neutral position’ in relative to the turret if it is in highest depression, should be 10 with the turret leaning and that obviously sacrifices the elevation to 15 degrees.

It is 6.7, literally have a manual saying 6.7 (thailand VT4) plus they technically all have 6.7 just that they have to bring 22 of the same round.
