The J-11’s handicap is straight up and only “muh RWR”. The 13.0 platforms all have between terrible and “usable at best” flight models (least to greatest there) and the lesser of the platforms like the sea harrier fa.2 is downright BAD as a jet. Like, it’s literally awful as a jet at 13.0.
The J-11A on the other hand is literally just a Su27 (13.0) but with R-77 and MAW, and the Su-27 is already very strong at 13.0.
Except from it detects everything with any sort of IR signal, friendlies, enemy aircraft, missiles that aren’t even meant for u.
And the radar. And the missiles compared to AMRAAM. Also not like I can actually play it like F14, I’ll still have to come down to dog fight people. I still have to play WVR.
And that is why they are of a lower BR, because they are more ‘handicapped’. And the things u can complain about for MiG29 is pretty much the opposite of J11A. So literally about equal. Flight performance doesn’t matter when u can’t lock straightforward targets at 10km.
Exactly, and which is not worth 0.7. NVM J11/Su27 aren’t even that strong against ARH holders. It is just not a fair fight be it R27ERs are really good. R27ET are my only consolation.
I use MAW pretty often. This is overblown. You can just check to see what is causing the signal then ignore. It’s also not nearly as sensitive as I remember it being in the past.
I am referring to this proposed 13.3 idea. At that BR, these are not real downsides. Having any fox3 is fine at 13.0-13.3. R-77 still works fine. Especially when you get as many as the J-11 does… there is no other 13.3 with similar capability.
No, because they are not disadvantaged to the same degree, nor are these things equally important.

In the current compression, seems fine by me. J11A is just better than every 13.3 if you direct compare as I said.
Where people will have the opportunity of killing u. And rather consistently.
They still are. Not as big of one, yes but still a downside. Also not being able to BVR at all hurts.
I am not saying it isn’t better than SMT, but it is also worse than every other 13.7 by roughly the same margin if not more.
