I enjoy the ATGM/rocket vehicles, stay hull down and most players won’t see you. T58s are less of a problem and sniping helis with an ATGM is fun.
They also removed it from the 21BIS after it had dominated for a few Months

mig 29 is severely underperforming, losing way too much speed than it should. (9-12, 9-13 and smt)
It’s really cool that gaijin just has the power to completely ruin the matchmaker of their own game on the spot. Most of the people grinding for the ho-ri are never going to use it so there’s literally no point for them to even be queuing japan rn. Like it’s honestly incredible how awful it’s been. Every single low tier game. Uptier against japan or germany. But apparently I’m the asshole for not wanting this to happen and thinking it’s a better idea to silently remove vehicles from tech trees. Or at least not announce it A MONTH IN ADVANCE.
Why?
Because that’s how it always goes. This is literally just a case of FOMO because it’s being removed. If you didn’t have the Ho-Ri by now, you didn’t care about having it until it was suddenly gone. I can tell you I won’t be grinding for it. Between crew leveling and my disdain for bad shells it’s just a recipe for miserableness
Afaik all mig-29s currently have more accurate fms than many other 4th gens. They also buffed their energy retention last major patch. If it’s underperforming, you’d think someone would come up with proper documentation to nerf it in bug report by now.
I flew the 29M recently and it can dogfight heavier light fighters like the F-16C pretty reliably in the rate. Won’t win you against F-16As however.

I don’t think you understand how bad the matchmaker is right now. Quite literally 50% of every game is japanese vehicles and this coincides directly with the announcement that the ho-ri is being removed. And it’s all veteran players coming down too.
As a collector thing too, like back when Tiger 105 / panther 2 / coelian was removed.
Put the removing of vics while leaving them in game for people.who have them to use to a in game vote.
You added them and unless you actually remove them properly its too late
Regarding the removal of vehicles in the game, the Japanese ground being the latest.
Why is the company doing it ? They have been in the game for a while now, why are they suddenly such a problem that they have to removed ?
It is the same for other vehicles and the reasons seem dubious as other vehicles with the same history are still in the game.
To me it just seems a cash grab to increase sales and revenue because the company profits are down this quarter.

Because they’re paper vehicles
This is the same situation as the R2Y2s, Tiger 2 105, Coelian and partially the Maus (Maus was mainly removed due to being impossible to balance properly)
What difference does it make when we are still being killed by the vics in the game they have been “removed” from?
Its worse than leaving and not adding any more. The sale says it all…
