yeah not hard
Gaijin got people thinking balancing is all that hard? It is at the start but at this point they already have a fantastic bases to start with so just moving stuff about by hand would eventually work. You just keep moving thing up until the TT is decompressed.
who on earth report a 2 years old post of me dunking on premium tank player who raging and can’t play?
like why?
well maybe the dude actually reported it when you posted it.
But he lives in rural azerbaijan and it took 2 years for the request to reach the server.
Why did you move the Cobra King heavy tank to BR 5.7 in Arcade with only 102 mm of penetration? Really?
Why did you ruin this tank? Can any developer show me how it’s supposed to be played at 5.7?
At this point, you might as well remove it from the game — it feels completely ruined.
It used to be my favorite tank: 8,666 kills and 1,974 deaths. But now I’ve just removed it from my lineup.
Can someone please respond? At least give it a more powerful gun that can actually do something.
Also, why aren’t Soviet tanks being nerfed? They seem to have very strong penetration and armor. Sometimes it feels like you should be able to penetrate them, but the shots just don’t go through.
The KV-1 ZiS feels almost impossible to penetrate after the recent changes, and the IS-1 is very difficult to deal with from both the front and even the sides. Is this really balanced?
If this is the intended direction, then I would like to request a refund for the Cobra King, since it has been significantly nerfed.
no answers? No one knows why COBRA KING nerf from 5.3 to 5.7?
Alright, let’s talk about the KV-1 (ZiS-5). Why is it still at BR 4.7?
Armor — volumetric, very strong. ✔️
Penetration — you can say “just shoot the barrel, track it, and flank,” especially since it can reach around 37 km/h. Or it can use BR-354P rounds with higher penetration.
So why is this tank not at 5.3 or even 5.7?
Because it is significant worse than the 5.7 Jumbo, which has better firepower, mobility, gun handling, armour, reload speed, while also having a .50.
The Zis-5 isn’t super good at 4.7 either, and its armour advantage is basically gone if it faces any 5.X tank.
No way as BVVR said wait times and wont let the 5 min que at TT ground say any different
If its worse tham the jumbo then god help it.
Jumbo fights 6.7 lobbies 99.99% of games which means its armour is paper while it shoots peas
And what would that make the KV if it was moved to 5.7 - as FirstLTU suggests above?
It’s stuck at 4.7 because of a mediocre gun and non-sloped armor.
I watched a BPA vid which he said heavies should only ever be used in down- tiers
Issue is some BRs like 5.7 NEVER get downtiered so the tanks are competly useless. Jumbo has to be up there for award of worst vic in the full game.
The Jumbo has only 102 mm of penetration at 100 meters. As for APCR rounds, I won’t even comment — they either don’t penetrate or deal almost no damage.
And what’s the point of the .50 cal machine gun? It can only really damage lightly armored tank destroyers or anti-air vehicles.
With the ZiS-5, if you angle the tank or hide the lower plate, it becomes almost impossible to penetrate. It also has APCR rounds that perform much better than the Jumbo’s.
So it can easily perform even against 5.3 or 5.7 tanks. Ever since volumetric armor was introduced, the ZiS-5 has become incredibly hard to deal with.
I played it myself yesterday — I just angled the tank and nobody could penetrate me. I was driving around almost unstoppable.
Even when a 1000 lb bomb drops nearby, it doesn’t even break the track, let alone damage the crew.
KV Zis-5 after the update to volumetric armor simply became impenetrable, especially if you hide the lower hull—it’s basically invincible. Even bombs sometimes do nothing to it. So what are we even talking about here? With the JUMBO, just hitting a structure can break a track or damage the suspension.
The KV-1 Zis-5 should be at least 5.3.
And what do you think the JUMBO can do against 6.7 vehicles, having a 102 mm gun? As many people dream, it’s supposedly possible to flank tanks. Yes, maybe 2 out of 10 times you might manage to flank them—but from the side it still can’t even penetrate an IS-1. So how are you supposed to play it?
IMO Jumbo is overtired and should be 5.3 in both Arcade and RGB
Zis gun is not nearly as effective as you suggest.
And saying Jumbo apcr (89 pen at 500 / 30 deg) is worse than Zis APCR (64 pen at 500 / 30 deg) is kinda funny.
Armor is not even close. That alone separates the two.
Add much better gun depression, double turret rotation and .50 cal as a bonus.
Zis is decent at 4.7 and can fight OK vs 5.0 and 5.3
Zis facing enemies like a Jagdpanther (or Tiger 2 when you were stretching it) is laughable.
Just like the JUMBO looks ridiculous against a Jagdpanther or Tiger II. You can’t penetrate anything from the front. You’d have to find a PIXEL just to be able to pen something at all.
You’re saying “just flank and shoot from the side.” The game shows a green indicator, but an IS-1 that is barely angled becomes non-penetrable. And you want to move a tank like that to 5.7?
The AP rounds don’t do anywhere near the damage that is shown on “paper.” The maps are not designed for flanking or for clean 1v1 encounters. They’ve basically turned this tank into scrap metal.
People paid money for it, and now it feels like they’ve been shown the middle finger—because apparently it has mobility and a fast reload. But the fact that it only penetrates every third shot wasn’t taken into account?
Meanwhile, tanks like the Tiger II, Jagdpanther G1, or even IS-1 / IS-2 can penetrate from almost any angle without really aiming. That part was not considered at all.
Hence my post about it being overtiered and should be 5.3 (corrected).
Jumbo, with similar type gun, is way more survivable in an uptier than the KV.
You mean 5.3 :)
I haven’t really seen an explanation from the developers as to why it was moved.
The Jumbo has higher survivability, but it also has a lot of weak spots, such as the front machine gun port, the commander’s cupola, and the area under the turret.
I think the developers should reconsider this nerf once again.
Yes 5.3 - was a typo.
Until they come up with a better reward than Adamant for soaking up shots for your team, 5.7 just isn’t justified. 5.3 with only a 2-step BR uptier-downtier would make it just right.
These aren’t real weakspots
