Smoke counters them just as well as any other IR guided AGM
They don’t, they can get intercepted just as often as any other IR guided AGM
They also now have a habit of occasionally just missing because their flight profile puts the target outside their seeker fov so they just miss
I play the Merkava Mk4M with the Trophy HV APS, should easily be able to counter them, nope.
They can get intercepted, but most the time they’ll pass right through and one shot the tank.
Edit: Smoke doesn’t really counter LMUR’s for some reason, I could be sitting in smoke and moving from original lock position and they’ll still find a way to hit me directly.
You see, trophy can’t exactly intercept stuff coming from a high angle, the missile being a LMUR won’t change shit

The LMUR is basically the only missile at 12.7 that comes in at such high of an angle…
The AGM-179 IR version comes in at a relatively steep angle, yet my APS has near no problem intercepting it.
And it doesn’t do nearly as much damage, 70% of the time it’ll crit hit and maybe take out some crew.

- Spikes and AGM-179 IR’s are no where near as good as the LMUR’s.
- The weaponry isn’t the only thing making Mi-28NM absolutely broken, I tested it’s DIRCM against Python 5’s and they just avoided the helicopter from side’s and front, which most Mi-28NM players will exploit, by popping up frontally, launching its loudout of LMUR’s and reloading.
AGM-179 is definitely on par

Keep in mind the Mi-28NM’s one is the worst one due to its blindspots
The Mi-28NM’s blindspot for DIRCM is completely unrealistic, in the sense where you are rarely shooting a IR missile behind it, maybe yeah if you’re playing in a Jet but for any normal SPAA a blindspot in the rear would rarely help, plus I rarely see the same strategy of popping up and firing a bunch of F&F missiles at ground targets using a Apache for example, not quite sure why but I assume its because;
- Apache’s (like the AH-64E) have a bit less bias so radar and IR missiles tend to hit more often.
- The play style of Russia is camping or being a bitch (no offense).
